Angkor Thom - Day 1: Small Temple Tour with Sunset

The tour begins with a meeting at the hotel lobby, followed by a trip to purchase the Angkor pass. The journey then proceeds to the World Heritage-listed Angkor temple complex, where visitors can admire one of Cambodia’s treasures, the remarkable Angkor Thom. This fortified “Great Royal City” was constructed in the 12th century by King Jayavarman VII.

Angkor Thom South Gate - At the South Gate, visitors will encounter the impressive statue of Avalokiteshvara, famously featured in the Tomb Raider movie.

Bayon Temple - The tour continues to the Bayon Temple, showcasing Buddhist architecture and adorned with hundreds of stone faces. The exploration also includes the Terrace of Elephants, the former Royal Palace, Phimeanakas, Terrace of the Leper King, and Baphoun Temple, recognized as the largest Hindu temple in Angkor Thom.
