Phnom Bakheng - A Hindu and Buddhist temple in the form of a temple mountain in Siem Reap Province, Cambodia. Dedicated to Shiva, it was built at the end of the 9th century during King Yasovarman’s reign.

Tonle Sap is unique, with water fed by the Mekong River, flowing in during the wet season and out during the dry season. After visiting the floating village, continue to Wat Prom Rath, Artisans Angkor, and then enjoy lunch at a local restaurant. Kampong Phluk Floating Village - A worthwhile visit to see how people live and gain insight into different cultures. It’s better to visit from Siem Reap, though it’s a bit far, as there are other activities to enjoy in Siem Reap. A boat trip to Tonle Lake and back is recommended.
Wat Preah Prom Rath - One of the oldest pagodas in Siem Reap, Cambodia, featuring well-preserved 17th-century wall paintings. Although a Buddhist temple, some paintings depict the famous ancient love story of Rama and Shita.
Artisans Angkor - A Cambodian social business creating job opportunities for young people in rural areas while reviving traditional Khmer craftsmanship. Founded in 1992, it is located on Stung Thmey Street, a 2-minute walk from the Old Market in Siem Reap Centre, Cambodia.
West Baray - A vast man-made lake surrounded by an earthen levee forming a dyke. According to legend, a ruler’s daughter was grabbed by a crocodile, creating a large opening in the south dyke of the West Baray, still visible today. The crocodile was captured and killed, and the princess was rescued.

The trek takes about 3 hours to hike the mountain range and up to a day to tour the entire area. Start from Preah Ang Jub at the mountain’s base, where a Buddhist temple is located, before continuing the trek up the Kulen mountains. Reach the Valley of Thousand Lingas with river water flowing over the lingams. Continue trekking to Preah Ang Thom, a Buddhist temple home to a 15m statue of Buddha carved from a huge sandstone block. Then, proceed to the waterfall for a swim and relaxation, enjoying the jungle views. Overnight in Siem Reap.
Poeng Ta Kho (Amazing Cliff) - Known as “Amazing Cliff,” located atop Kulen Mountain, offering impressive views across the canyon below between the mountain ranges. Accessible from the main road across the mountain top, with a small parking bay and foot trail leading to the site. Approximately 150 meters of the cliff edge is cleared.
Phnom Kulen Pagoda - At the hill’s summit, see a Buddhist pagoda and a large reclining Buddha statue, 8 meters long, carved into a sandstone block in the 16th century.
Preah Ang Thom Pagoda - Often referred to as the Reclining Buddha, Preah Ang Thom is an 8-meter (26 ft) tall statue of the reclining Buddha reaching nirvana. Carved into a huge natural sandstone boulder, a modern staircase and shelter have been added. It is a sacred site for Cambodians, often busy with visitors.
Kbal Spean - Along a 500-meter stretch of the riverbed, carvings of linga, several big and small yoni, and a large carving of Vishnu are visible. Small carvings are also seen in the bedrock along the riverbed walls.
Phnom Kulen Waterfall - Popular for swimming in the river forming the Kulen Waterfall. There are two waterfalls: the first is around 25m wide and 5m tall, and the second is about 15m tall and 15m wide. Waterfall sizes vary by season, with more water during the rainy season, but still worth visiting in the dry season.
Preah Ang Choub Pagoda - Begin trekking from Preah Ang Choub Pagoda through the rainforest in the national park.

Known for its elaborate architectural structure, it is conveniently located in a busy district, making it a prime attraction. Accessible via Road 2 or Road 3, with roadside shops and eateries along the way.
Killing Caves Of Phnom Sampeau - A Khmer Rouge execution site on Phnom Sampeau, southwest of Battambang. Victims were killed at the cave’s rim and thrown into the cave. Separate caves housed men, women, and clothes. Today, a large glass memorial and a golden reclining Buddha are in the cave, accessible via a staircase. A memorial with human bones is at the stairway’s base.
Battambang Bat Caves - A spectacle at the foot of Battambang’s Phnom Sampeou, where millions of bats pour from caves at sunset. Here’s all you need to know about Cambodia’s bat caves.
Phnom Sampow - Atop Sam Puoy mountain, there are temples and three natural wells: Pkar Slar, Lo Khuon, and Ak So Pheak. Nearby mountains include Phnom Trung Moan, Phnom Trung Tea, and Phnom Neang Rum Say Sork, linked to the Cambodian folk legend of Reach Kol Neang Rum Say Sork.

Silver Pagoda - Located next to the Royal Palace in Phnom Penh, the Silver Pagoda features a beautiful garden, offering a peaceful escape from the bustling streets of Cambodia’s capital. Inside, countless handcrafted silver tiles cover the floor. The pagoda is also known as the Temple of the Emerald Buddha, as the primary Buddha statue is made of emerald or baccarat crystal.
Wat Phnom - Set on a 27m high tree-covered knoll, Wat Phnom is the only hill in town. According to legend, the first pagoda was erected in 1373 to house four Buddha statues deposited by the Mekong’s waters and discovered by a woman named Penh. The main entrance is via the grand eastern staircase, guarded by lions and naga (snake) balustrades.
Statue of King Father Norodom Sihanouk - The Norodom Sihanouk Memorial commemorates former King Norodom Sihanouk in Phnom Penh, Cambodia. The bronze statue is 4.5 meters tall, housed under a 27-meter high stupa in the park east of the Independence Monument. The statue, depicting the late king in a business suit, cost about US$1.2 million and took about 8 months to complete.
Wat Ounalom - Wat Ounalom is one of Phnom Penh’s five original monasteries (1422). It housed the Institute Bouddhique and library. Choeung Ek Genocidal Center - Choeung Ek is a former orchard and mass grave of Khmer Rouge victims killed between 1975 and 1979, about 17 kilometers south of Phnom Penh, Cambodia. It is the best-known of the “Killing Fields,” where the Khmer Rouge regime executed over one million people. Mass graves containing 8,895 bodies were discovered at Choeung Ek after the regime’s fall. Many of the dead were former political prisoners held in Tuol Sleng and other Cambodian detention centers.
