Fantastic experience. - We were concerned about cooking in the heat but that was not an issue. This was one of the highlights of our holiday. The guide was knowledgeable and explained many interesting things as we toured the traditional market, gathering ingredients. Then, the place where the class is conducted was perfect for the job. The chef explained everything clearly and we prepared three course meal. After cooking we sat in a cool gazebo and had our meal served to us. Absolutely wonderful and I would recommend this to anyone.

Recommended - An excellent experience. Sopheap was a superb guide and Prey did a great job showing me the dishes. I was the only person who'd booked that morning but they still went ahead. It's given me some new ideas for making curries. Very glad I did it.

A great cooking class! - Class started with a walk and chat through a crowded local market. Very interesting. Then class took place on an outdoor patio overlooking a beautiful little lake with turtles. Instruction in English was detailed and effective. Teachers were so friendly and helpful. Dishes of chicken curry , fresh spring rolls and sauce, and banana in palm sugar with coconut. All turned out great. They give you very nice cookbook with recipes. Highly recommend!

Passion meets purpose in authentic Cambodian Cooking Class! Don't miss out on a great Cambodia experience - If you are reading this review - like me - before booking a cooking class in Cambodia, Siem Reap, you are scrolling through the many cooking classes on offer in Cambodia to get the best one. ! My advice is forget the rest, and try this cooking class. It is harder for find authentic experiences as a tourist these days. But this is definitely an authentic and fun experience in Cambodia especially, visiting the local market beforehand. Not only that you know that the money you spend on the cooking class is going to a grass roots business in Cambodia - which is really important. As a family this was a highlight of our trip. The cooking environment was safe and clean aswell which is important. Enjoy.!

A lovely experience! Learned a lot and the food is delicious! - This is a lovely experience! We met Sophia, our cooking leader, at the Siem Reap open air market and she took us on a walking tour of the stalls and showed us the vegetables, herbs and fruits of the region and bought some of the ingredients for the meal we would be making. Back at the open air cooking studio we were introduced to the chef who demonstrated each course before we made it. Each of us had our own station with knife, cutting board, mortar and pestle and burner and all the ingredients laid out on waiting boards. We pounded, sliced, diced and rolled our way through chicken curry, spring rolls and bananas in palm sugar, then sat down and enjoyed the results in a pleasant outdoor shady dining pavilion by a turtle pond. A complementary cookbook was included.

Highly Recommend - Our tour guide, Sophia, was phenomenal! First we toured a local market. Very authentic and NOT touristy. She explained to us how various items in the market are prepared and we even sampled a few items. After about 45 minutes, we went to the outdoor cooking class. The setting was beautiful. The chef and Sophia taught us how to prepare spring rolls, a chicken curry, and a banana dessert. All delicious. Especially enjoyed receiving a cook book versus a certificate (I mean, who needs a certificate!)

An Awesome Experience! - My daughters (17 years & 12 yeats) and I booked this cooking class before we travelled from Australia. It is on our highlight lost for Siem Reap. My youngest was a bit nervous about cooking but our host/guide Sophya and our chef/teacher Preya soon put those nerves to rest. The tour of the market with Sophya was very interesting and informative. After we grabbed some ingredients we went to the beautiful village where our cooking stations, utensils and ingredients were set out in an idyllic location right beside a small lake. We made rice paper rolls, chicken curry and bananas in palm sugar. Absolutely perfect flavours and great instruction from Preya and Sophya. We are our creations in a small pavillion right by the lake. It was really fun and the girls and I learned a lot. Sophya & Preya are both very kind and helpful and took great care of us. Our family highly recommends this tour, a really great experience.
