• Kompong Khleang - In the morning, the journey begins by heading north, tracing the edges of the Tonle Sap. The morning’s destination is the stilted village of Kampong Khleang. Navigating through local paths and winding through lush greenery and homes, the boat will set sail (water levels permitting) to offer a view of these houses from the lake. Some of these homes are impressively built on stilts, reaching up to 10 meters high! The area is renowned for its petrified mangrove forests and hidden waterways. Delight in the captivating scenery of Southeast Asia’s largest freshwater lake. A delightful local lunch will be served at a village house, providing an opportunity to observe daily life in the village.
• Beng Mealea - In the afternoon, the journey continues through the vibrant countryside, passing rice paddies and local villages to reach Beng Mealea. This Lotus Pond Temple, dating back to the early 11th Century, was constructed by Suryavarman II as a Hindu Temple. Beng Mealea is a temple concealed within a jungle maze - if there is one temple to explore, enveloped by the jungle, it is Beng Mealea. Climbing over large sandstone blocks to access the inner sanctuary and mysterious worship corridor is an unforgettable adventure. Architecturally, Beng Mealea is recognized for its innovative construction of hallways for its time, being a very large temple with wide galleries that foreshadowed Angkor Wat.

Around 5 pm, the journey concludes at the hotel after an extraordinary rural experience, away from the usual tourist paths.

• In the event of no-show or change of accommodation without prior consent and confirmation from us within 24 hours may result in the applicable cancellation charges as outlined in the terms and conditions
• Between April and September, water levels around Kampong Khleang may be too low for safely navigating around this floating village. Alternative means of transportation will be provided.
