Khmer cooking class Siem Reap - Brilliant cooking class. Well organised and the chef was excellent.
There was a choice of 3 starters, main courses and desserts. As 3 of us were cooking in the class we decided to make one dish each from the menu and share the food.
It was good fun to make and delicious to eat.

Best experience ever! - It was the most beautiful experience.
Narong is the best, she taught us a lot in the market about their food and culture and she was patient and incredible at teaching us how to cook.
By the way is the best meal we had by far in Cambodia!!
This experience is definitely a must in Siem Reap!

More than just food! - Had a lovely couple if hours with my teacher who was an excellent guide. I learned a lot about Cambodian life and atiitudesto food and family.
The set up is very friendly, well organised and clean. The school can cater for different dietary requirements you just need to let them know.
The food I prepared was lovely even though I say it myself. The recipies from the site are good but hopefully they will include the Kymer curry paste ingredients so it too can be made at home. 🙂

A great class to sign up for to learn how to make a few Khmer dishes as well as get a tour of the market to learn more. - This was a great class as you were taken to the market to learn more about the various ingredients that you’d be using in the do wishes you chose to make. You are then taken to the kitchen to do some of the prep work (some is done for you due to time constraints) and then cook the dishes. After you sit down to eat the meal you prepared.

Great introduction to Khmer food - Signed up for this cooking class in the UK before heading to Cambodia and chose to do on first evening in Siem Reap. On arrival we were warmly greeted and given a menu to choose what we’d like to cook for starter, main and dessert. We chose fresh spring rolls and shrimp mango salad for starter, then fish Amok and Beef Lok Lak. We then went across road to local market and shown ingredients we were going to cook with. Our Chef guided us through from chopping to cooking and making accompanying sauces. Plentiful food for two of us.

Great experience! - My family and I had a really great time learning to cook traditional khmer foods! We started the course by walking through a local market where she walked us through the various local ingredients (be warned though: parts of it can be pungent).
As for the actual cooking class, each person gets to choose 1 of 3 options for an appetizer, main course, and dessert (so 3 total choices out of 9 possible options). The actual prep and cooking were pretty straightforward but the dishes turned out delicious. This was a great way to learn more about the local culture.

Great experience of cooking Khmer food - Wonderful experience at the Khmer cooking class. I booked it last minute, but it turned out to be the highlight. Easy to book and communicate, got picked up at my hotel right on time. The kitchen is a part of a restaurant and is located right in the city. You get to choose 1 appetiser, 1 mains and 1 dessert that you’d want to cook and eat. Then the chef takes you to the local food and wet markets. Once back, we get to our stations and start cooking from scratch. It’s fun and easy to follow instructions. The chef guides you throughout and at the end of 3hrs, you are ready to devour the good food. You will also be awarded with a certificate at the end. Definitely recommended
