The drive takes approximately 40 minutes from Siem Reap to the boat pier. Guests will be invited to board a private boat heading to the floating village of Kompong Phluk, a traditional Khmer floating village situated 30km from Siem Reap. Explore the towering stilted houses, floating hospital, fishery, the country’s traditional lifestyle, and the natural beauty of the flooded mangrove forest. The boat ride lasts about 1.5 to 2 hours, varying with the season. Guests have the option to take a 15-minute tour through the flooded mangrove forest on a small boat (not included in the price, just $5 for the small boat), providing a delightful pause on the way to TonLe Sap, where they can experience the local fauna and flora. The boat ride concludes with a broader view of the TonLe Sap.
