- Angkor Wat - Angkor Wat is the world’s largest religious monument, constructed in the 12th century. As the best-preserved temple at the site, it has continuously served as a significant religious center since its inception. Visitors will enter the grand temple in the early morning darkness from the less-frequented eastern side. The journey continues on foot through a jungle path to the North ancient library pool, where the sunrise can be admired. An expert guide will provide insights, and guests will explore the central chambers of the temple, where the guide will share the history, myths, and stories depicted on the stone bas-reliefs, which are the longest in the world. The knowledgeable guide ensures that visitors leave with a deep understanding of the temple’s history and the mighty Angkorian civilization.
- Angkor Thom South Gate - The South Gate is one of the five gates of Angkor Thom, the ancient capital city of the Khmer Empire. Flanked by a row of 54 stone figures on each side, it served as the entrance to the fortified city. At its peak, Angkor Thom had a population exceeding one million and was larger than London. It remains a popular tourist attraction in the Angkor Wat area.
- Bayon Temple - The Bayon is a richly adorned Khmer temple at Angkor in Cambodia, built in the 13th century as the state temple of King Jayavarman VII. Located at the center of Jayavarman’s capital, the Bayon is renowned for its numerous serene and smiling stone faces on the towers that rise from the upper terrace and cluster around its central peak. Visitors can admire the beautifully crafted central towers, adorned with over 200 large faces. The temple features two sets of bas-reliefs, depicting a mix of mythological, historical, and everyday scenes. The outer gallery’s bas-reliefs illustrate historical events and daily life of the Angkorian Khmer, while the inner gallery’s bas-reliefs depict mythological events.
- Baphuon Temple - Situated in Angkor Thom, northwest of the Bayon, Baphuon was constructed in the mid-11th century as a three-tiered temple mountain serving as the state temple. Adjacent to the southern enclosure of the Royal Palace, it measures 120 meters east-west by 100 meters north-south at its base and stands 34 meters tall without its tower, which would have made it approximately 50 meters tall. Its grandeur impressed Temür Khan’s late 13th-century envoy Chou Ta-kuan during his visit from 1296 to 1297, who described Bayon as the Tower of Gold and Baphuon as ‘the Tower of Bronze…a truly astonishing spectacle, with more than ten chambers at its base.’
- Angkor Thum - Hidden Gem: A guide will lead visitors to a rarely seen location. Travel enriches the soul.
- Terrace of the Elephants - The 350-meter-long Terrace of Elephants served as a grand reviewing stand for public ceremonies and as a base for the king’s grand audience. Locals sometimes refer to it as “the Ancient Khmer Stadium.” It was constructed in the 13th century under King Jayavarman VII.
- Terrace of the Leper King - The renowned Terrace of the Leper King, a U-shaped structure, is believed by some to have been a royal cremation site. Built in the 13th century under King Jayavarman VII, its modern name comes from a 15th-century sculpture found at the site, depicting the Hindu god Yama, the god of death.
- Angkor Thom - Secret stop: A majestic location that sets the tone for the day’s adventure. Experience it firsthand, as all journeys have hidden destinations unknown to travelers.
- Phimeanakas - Phimeanakas, or Vimeanakas, was built at the end of the 10th century during the reign of Rajendravarman (941-968) and completed by Suryavarman I. It is a three-tier pyramid-shaped Hindu temple. Atop the pyramid was a tower, and galleries lined the edge of the top platform. Phimeanakas is located within the walled enclosure of the Royal Palace of Angkor Thom.
- Ta Prohm Temple - The jungle-clad Ta Prohm, also known as the Tomb Raider temple, is one of the most atmospheric temples in Angkor. Constructed in the 13th century, Ta Prohm remains largely in the condition it was found, with trees growing out of the ruins and jungle surroundings creating a photogenic and atmospheric setting. Inscribed on the UNESCO World Heritage List in 1992, it is now one of the most visited complexes in Cambodia’s Angkor region. Ta Prohm was a religious temple located at the center of the Ancient Khmer University during the 12th and 13th centuries.
