- Bayon Temple - Known as the “smiling faces temple,” this structure is built on three levels and comprises 54 towers reaching skyward. From the highest points of these towers, one can see the smiling faces of the king who commissioned the temple. The temple is adorned with intricate carvings depicting Hindu mythology and the daily life of people from 1177 AD.
- Angkor Wat - This ancient city once housed around 1 million inhabitants over many generations, dating from the 9th to the 14th century. Due to its decline, the city has become overgrown with jungle, and many of its temples have been overtaken by vegetation. However, some temples like Bayon, Baphoun, Phimeanakas, and the terraces of elephants and the leper king remain, offering much to explore in person.
- Ta Prohm Temple - This temple serves as a model of how the city appeared when it was rediscovered in the 19th century. It is heavily overgrown, with large trees and massive roots still thriving on the temple structure. These trees are approximately 200 to 300 years old. The temple gained fame after being featured in the 2001 movie “Tomb Raider.”
