Lessebo handpappersbruk has a history dating back to the 17th century. Originally an iron works, this establishment transitioned into a paper mill post 1648. Lessebo handpappersbruk has a history dating back to the 17th century. Originally an iron works, this establishment transitioned into a paper mill post 1648. This site carries numerous tales of human fate that you’ll hear about during your visit. The guided tour usually lasts about 45-60 minutes, depending on the group size, and features a short film demonstrating the production process. The factory’s shop, offering second quality goods, is open for shopping before or after the tour.
Take note, the structure doesn’t include an elevator, however, there are pathways around the exterior that lead to the kype and lower bottom. If you have trouble with stairs, kindly let us know during the booking process, and we’ll ensure you have appropriate assistance.
Ample free parking is available right outside the Paper Mill for those arriving by car. Alternatively, you can get here via bus or train, with Lessebo Handpappersbruk being a short walk from both stations.
