• Kruja Bazaar - Renowned as one of Albania’s oldest marketplaces, Kruja Bazaar boasts a rich history spanning over 400 years. This captivating market was a pioneer in facilitating free trade among the city’s prominent merchants. It was here that traders first began the official exchange of various goods. Conveniently situated on the main road to the Castle of Kruja, the bazaar is part of the museum while maintaining its traditional commercial role.
• Kruja Castle - Kruja is a city of great historical significance in Albania. Positioned on the slopes of Kruja Mountain at 608 meters above sea level, the city’s name and importance are intertwined with the 25-year legacy of national hero Skanderbeg. In the fifteenth century, Skanderbeg transformed Kruja into a stronghold of resistance against the Ottomans. Tourists can explore numerous attractions, including the ancient castle set in rugged rocks, two museums, breathtaking views, a nearby national park, sacred temples, natural springs, the ancient ruins of Albanopolis, and the historic bazaar. The Gjergj Kastrioti Skanderbeg Museum, inaugurated in 1981, is located within the castle walls, which date back to the fifth and sixth centuries A.D. The Ethnographic Museum and the Dollma Tekke are also housed within the castle.
• Sari Salltik - The Sari Salltiku Mosque in Kruja was built to honor Sari Salltiku, a cleric of the Bektashi faith. Sari Salltiku is believed to have made his mark in Kruja around the 1300s. A companion of Sultan Bayazit and a disciple of Ahmed Jeseviut, his footprint is found at the mosque’s entrance in Kruja. In 1967, the communist regime demolished this mosque along with other religious sites across Albania. It was reconstructed in 1991. The holy cave in Kruja Mountain is shrouded in mystery, with paranormal tales dating back to 1325 when Sari Salltiku arrived from Turkey, sent by Haxhi Bektesh Veliu, to perform religious rites in solitude.
