• Istana Negara - The National Palace, or Istana Negara, is the official residence of the King of Malaysia. Located on Jalan Duta, this grand building became the National Palace in November 2011, replacing the old palace on Jalan Istana. It features 22 domes, with the largest reaching 40 meters. Note: Visits are limited to the exterior.
• National Mosque (Masjid Negara) - One of the city’s most distinguished landmarks, Masjid Negara features a unique star-shaped dome and a 73-meter high minaret. Located near the KL Lake Gardens, visitors should dress appropriately, and women are required to wear headscarves.
• Sultan Abdul Samad Building - Situated in front of Dataran Merdeka, the iconic Sultan Abdul Samad building houses the Supreme and High Courts. Known for its unique Moorish design and clock tower, it is a popular photo spot for visitors.
• Merdeka Square - Located opposite the Sultan Abdul Samad Building and next to the Royal Selangor Club, Merdeka Square is where the Union Flag was lowered, and the Malayan flag was raised for the first time at midnight on August 31, 1957.

• Beryl’s Chocolate Kingdom - Beryl’s Chocolate Kingdom is one of two outlets by the famous chocolate brand Beryl’s. The main attraction here is chocolate, made from the finest Ghana cocoa beans. • Seri Wawasan Bridge, Putrajaya - The first stop is one of Putrajaya’s seven bridges, known for its elegance. The 240-meter cable bridge has a futuristic design resembling a sailing ship and is visible from many points in the city.
• Perdana Putra - This impressive building atop the main hill in Putrajaya features a palatial-style green dome and stone walls. • Putra Mosque - The Putra Mosque, built by the lake in 1997, is known for its pink hue from rose-tinted granite. It can accommodate up to 15,000 worshippers and is a popular spot for photographs, drawing inspiration from Malay and Middle Eastern designs.
• Kelab Tasik Putrajaya - A great way to see the city’s sights is by taking a 45-minute daytime or evening sightseeing cruise on a comfortable, air-conditioned 76-seater boat. Gondola-style boat rides are also available.
• Masjid Tuanku Mizan Zainal Abidin (Masjid Besi) - The Iron Mosque, or Tunku Mizan Zainal Abidin Mosque, is an architectural marvel made primarily of steel. Its “wire mesh” design is inspired by Chinese and German architecture. Unlike other mosques in Malaysia, it has no minaret. From a distance, it appears to be made of metal or glass.
• Millennium Monument - Designed in 2005 to welcome the new millennium, this is the first monument built in Putrajaya. The walkway around the monument illustrates Malaysia’s history, with panels describing significant events. A time capsule at the base will be opened in 2020. As you ascend the ramps, you can enjoy sweeping views of the waterfront.
• Moroccan Pavilion Putrajaya - The Moroccan Pavilion is a five-star Instagram-worthy spot, built to symbolize diplomatic ties between Malaysia and Morocco. Its stunning architecture and intricate craftsmanship resemble Moroccan villages and imperial cities.
