3. Kampung Bukit Belimbing Firefly Park

The firefly belongs to the beetle family of insects. The species ‘Pteroptyx tener’ is the most prevalent in Kuala Selangor, with a size of approximately 5mm. During the night, these small insects gather on berembang trees (Sonneratia caseolaris), a type of mangrove tree that naturally thrives in the brackish waters along the banks of the Selangor River.
