- Menara Kuala Lumpur - Rising elegantly atop Bukit Nanas at 421 meters and 94 meters above sea level, KL Tower is a significant feature of the city’s skyline and one of the most memorable images for visitors to Kuala Lumpur.
Its design showcases the country’s Islamic heritage, featuring Arabic scripts, Islamic tiles, and traditional Islamic floral and abstract motifs with calming color schemes.
In addition to the breathtaking view, KL Tower offers something for nature enthusiasts. The lush greenery surrounding Menara KL is the Bukit Nanas Forest, the oldest gazetted forest reserve in the country.
Spanning 10.05 hectares, it is considered the green lung of Kuala Lumpur and is home to a diverse range of flora and fauna unique to the country’s tropical climate.
- Petronas Twin Towers - Standing at 451.9 meters, the stunning Petronas Twin Towers is a globally recognized symbol of modern Malaysia. It is the centerpiece of the Kuala Lumpur City Centre (KLCC) development, which includes landmarks such as the Kuala Lumpur Convention Centre, Suria KLCC shopping mall, luxury hotels, a mosque, and the beautifully landscaped KLCC Park. Highlights include a visit to the Skybridge on the 41st Floor and the Viewing Deck on the 86th Floor.
The space between the two towers is connected by the Skybridge at Levels 41 and 42, the world’s highest two-storey bridge.
- National Monument - The National Monument was constructed to honor those who sacrificed their lives for peace and freedom, especially during the nation’s fight against communism. Within the National Monument grounds stands one of the world’s largest free-standing bronze sculptures, created in 1966 by Felix de Weldon, who also sculpted the famous Iwo Jima monument in Washington DC.

In its prime, the square hosted parades, cricket matches, and other significant events. Today, this historic heart of Kuala Lumpur is preserved with beautifully manicured lawns, terraces, and a fountain. Adjacent to Dataran Merdeka is the Royal Selangor Club, a mock-Tudor structure with a fascinating history.
The 100-meter high flagpole at Dataran Merdeka is one of the tallest in the world.
- Sultan Abdul Samad Building - A prominent and distinguished landmark of Kuala Lumpur, the Sultan Abdul Samad Building remains a captivating attraction amidst the city’s evolving skyline. Built in 1897, the building was named after the reigning monarch of the time. This stately structure served as the government administrative building during the British era. The building houses a Tourist Information Centre. Kuala Lumpur traces its origins as a mining outpost for the tin trade in the 1800s.
