Great excursion - Picked up on time by our guide and driver LG. LG was a knowledgeable guide who explained the elements of the trip as we began our journey. Enjoyable experience and well worth what it cost. The firefly’s and blue tears were great and would recommend this excursion to friends and family.

Calm Evening Trip - I had a really clear night out and saw the stars, the blue tears, and fireflies. The pictures really bring out the blue, but in person, the blue is less bright. Though, that didn’t take away from the wonder of the view. Was an overall slower-paced and fun experience. Also, the monkeys are real friendly if you have food on you!

The temple and feeding... - The temple and feeding the monkey's was the highlight for us. The fireflies and plankton was a new experience however, it is not like the photos shown.

Very nice - It was beautiful seeing the fireflies light up the trees. It had rained a bit just before we set out, but there were plenty of fireflies within the trees lighting them up like Christmas trees. The brightness of the bioluminescence varies on weather conditions and tide. My trip didn't have the amount I'd hoped for, but still, it was a lot of fun and a bit magical.

Seeing fireflies in Malaysia - I was grateful that i was picked up at my air b&b. The ride was long to arrive at the destination. There were 2 other groups.. a father and son from Denmark and 3 women from Italy. We stopped for dinner before the boat ride and our driver separated us to large different tables. I thought this was more than slightly strange and frankly unpleasant. After dinner we went on the boat and sailed to an area with many fireflies. They twinkled nicely. Then sailed to another area where we saw the "blue tears" . Then returned to the van and were returned to our original pickup.

Evening with the Fireflies - Nice to get out on the boat and see the fireflies. The blue tears were not as spectacular as the photo in the advertisement. Seafood dinner at a restaurant on the jetty was good but was a bit rushed because of the time the boat was booked. The Indian temple and the lookout point stop was also interesting. Our guide LG was very nice. The trip wasn’t a wow but it was a nice way to spend an evening.

A lack of information and food and drinks - The pick up was arranged not far from the hotel because of the busy roads. That was no problem, but I had to cross because the driver was on the other side of a very busy road. That was not handy. It took for ever to pick up the other passengers because of all the traffic. The driver was a nice man, but not a tour guide, he said nothing during the whole trip unless you asked something. There was supposedly water on board but in the end we only got it at 7.30 pm because he forgot about it. Once at the river there was no time to get something to eat. On the boat the people gave again NO information. Not about the fireflies and not about the blue tears. Only to the people that were sitting close at the front. I did not even know what to do with the net or what is was for. It would have been nice to have a good guide giving info about what was going on, especially since I was on my own. Returning to the hotel he dropped me of behind a shopping mall at 10.30 pm it was closed so again I had to cross a busy road and find my own way to the hotel. The thing I loved was the eagle feeding which was not included but it was not expensive. The driver said we could join but the boat for the fireflies was leaving at 7 and we were still at the eagles at that time. So I send a what's app but apparently to an LG and that person instead of forwarding the message gave me the number of the driver which was not very helpful being on that boat. So well, I did love the beautiful nature but the lack of guidance was a big disappointment. I booked this because Viator is a well known name but than you expect it to be good. It doesn't have to be perfect but there must be more info, and pro active not only when asked. Again, the driver was a nice man but not the tour guide one expects.
