Wonderful experience - Nice experience, the driver is very nice and will explain what you will see. The temple and the monkey hill are nice, you can also feed the monkeys while they sit on your shoulders. The fireflies are not like in the pictures, you will see them from a couple of meter and you will mostly see the flashing lights inside the bushes, then the boat driver will take some of them with a net so you can take a closer look. The blue tears are amazing, you will move the water with a net to make them shine. Must do experience while you stay in Kuala Lumpur

Beautiful natural experience - Is a bit out of the way but worth the trip. You will experience an amazing show made by nature. You will also have an opportunity ti taste local food.

Not a great start to the day being an hour late - Not a great start to the day being told 3.20 pick up (be ready 10 minutes before so 3.10) and then told last minute of delays finally getting picked up at 4.15...including being told to wait 15-20 minutes on the main road in the heat to save zero time. Would have much rather sat and had a coffee in the air con thank you. Also as second pick up of the day; you know traffic can be bad so get there early...traffic seemed know worse than normal. First impressions are important! Mini bus small not much leg room. Visited some nice places on the way Hindu temple and monkeys are a nice addition. Food wasn't included but went to Thai restaurant near boat pick up where portions are big I ordered 3 small portions which were large and very nice so recommend that place! Blue tears very under whelming pretty naff nothing like pictures. Fireflies just about worth doing.

Don’t go on full moon if possible - Trip was well organized and driver was very feiendly. Fireflies are nice but not as spectacular as expected. Restaurants at the Fisher village are quite authentic. I would recommend to go on new moon. I was there at full moon which probably reduced the effect. All in all okay but not overwhelming

Beware of false marketing photos! - Visited a Hindu temple on way that was a very ornate building before heading to an area swamped with people feeding the monkeys. Arrived at a rough looking Chinese restaurant and told we had almost an hour to eat - no way! The toilets were very basic so bring tissues and sanitizer. Then we boarded our boat for the main attraction!!! Pitiful is the only word. A boat full of Chinese tourists had their guide who tried to be helpful but our guide just left us. We saw hardly any fireflies and the blue tears were a huge disappointment as we expected it to look like the marketing photo. IT DIDN’T! We had to use a fishing net to catch some plankton and agitate it to go blue. Save your time and money. The final straw was the guide started to drive off leaving a couple of passengers behind before we stopped him.

I do not recommend this - No blue tears and barely any fireflies insight. The only thing that was worth it was the eagles sighting that I paid extra for.
