6:00am hotel pick-up from your accommodation within a 1km radius of Kuala Lumpur City Centre (KLCC).

Your private tour to Taiping & Orang Utan Island from Kuala Lumpur begins with a hotel pick-up by a friendly and professional driver. A 4-hour drive north along the North-South Expressway takes you to the tranquil town of Bukit Merah, passing through small palm oil plantations and pineapple fields.

Upon arrival, board the ferry to Orang Utan Island. Disembark and be amazed by the ‘People of the Jungle’ or Orang Utans, an endangered species. Known for their intelligence, Orang Utans have one of the longest birth intervals, averaging once every 8 years. Enjoy an hour and a half at this dedicated rehabilitation sanctuary and capture plenty of photos for memories.

• Matang Mangrove Forest Reserve - Located twenty minutes from Taiping, Kuala Sepetang or Matang Mangrove Forest Reserve is a charming fishing village on the coast. Although it has seen better days, it is gaining popularity among city dwellers seeking a break from urban life and an increase in ecotourism activities.
• Taiping Lake Gardens - The Taiping Lake Gardens is the first public garden established during British rule in Malaysia. Situated near Bukit Larut, it is equidistant from the town centre and the Taiping Zoo.

This expansive evergreen park is designed around former tin mining ponds and is surrounded by magnificent rain trees as old as the park itself.

The Lake Gardens serves as a community hub where people from all walks of life gather every evening, especially on weekends. Join in the fun by renting a paddleboat (at your own expense) and rowing around the lake before enjoying a long, breezy stroll.

• Taiping War Cemetery - The Taiping War Cemetery is the final resting place for Allied personnel who lost their lives during World War II, particularly in the Malayan Campaign and the Japanese occupation of Malaya. Servicemen who died after the war or during their posting in northern Malaya before the Malayan Emergency are also buried here.
• Aun Tong Coffee Mill - Established in 1933 in Taiping, Perak, Aun Tong Coffee Mill was founded by Mr. Tiah Ee Mooi, whose coffee became a popular drink among locals. The signature product “Antong” remains a favorite brew among coffee enthusiasts, both locally and internationally.

After more than half a century, Antong Sdn Bhd has evolved into a modern coffee roaster, capable of producing 10 tons of roasted coffee beans daily.

Today, with 80 years in the coffee industry, Antong has mastered the art of coffee roasting to meet customer expectations and satisfy diverse demands.

At the end of the tour, you will be transferred back to your hotel in Kuala Lumpur City.
