Nature at its best - I love ES hiking through forests – and this one was by far the most beautiful hike I’ve ever done. Although exhausting because of the heat, but the nature is just fantastic and the air so wonderfully clean. A place I will miss.

A great day trip to Bako National Park - This was a great trip. Our guide Don, was not only very knowledgeable about the wildlife, but on the journey there he explained about the culture and ethnic groups in Sarawak along with a brief history. Once at the park he made a great effort to find wildlife for us and we were rewarded with various animal sightings including several Proboscis monkeys.

Excellent Tour Guide - This summer we had the pleasure, on a school trip, to be guided by Khai on a night walk at Bako. He was highly knowledgeable and provided us with interesting facts while keeping the morale high through singing songs and being chatty. We highly recommend that everyone goes on the night trek if available and request Khai as guide: he made it a memorable night for the whole group.

Thanks Edwin , Farrah , Nadia and Bujang- you made my visit unforgettable ! - An experienced guide who knows the land like the back of his hand is crucial . Even then - the nature of these trips are that these are wild animals . They won’t come out because you went there 😀 the knowledge shared by the guide is super interesting and in my case I got lucky - almost everything I set out to see ( or hoping to see ) I got to see .
Additionally, was a great lesson on how the forest is a supermarket and a pharmacy in his own words ( my guide - Bujangh )

Very good trip - The tour operator let us know drop off time prior via WhatsApp. Picked up in AirCon mini bus with 7 other people. We were a group of 4 including 5yo and 7yo. Boat ride was great - nice and cool. We did a couple of trails and our guide found us Macaques, Proboscis Monkeys, Silver Leaf Monkeys, flying lemur, pigs. We took plenty of water and bug spray. Very good day! You could abs diy, but for convenience and hotel pickup/drop off with kids this was great

Review of bako national park and Semenggoh Wildlife Centre - Aloha everyone,
You can take red bus 1 in near electric house to bako national park for 1 myr. And one you arrive at the jetty, it's 100 myr one way or 200 myr roundtrip to the park. If u meet 3 other travelers, then the 100myr is divided into 4 or 25 myr per person. Going back can be tricky since all members have leave at the same time.
You don't need a guide, all trails are clearly marked. Ironically, we only saw pigs, monkeys- black and probiscis near the visitor center.
If you can, spend the night since animals come out early mornings and evenings.
For Semenggoh Wildlife Centre, take bus 103. Download Kuching metro to track bus.
Finally, make sure you visit the tourism visitor center. They will provide you with detailed instructions.

Beautiful piece of jungle close to DE city - Hiking tours are quite tough but certainly doable despite the fact that we had to deal with a heavy tropical shower. Please note: DE lunch but only after the walking tours so bring your own food.

Beautiful - The short vote ride to the park was very enjoyable. We walked around the beach a little bit and saw very unique rock structures and noticed a few wild bearded pigs walking around. Within the park, we saw a number of different animals like snakes and monitor lizards, I was not fortunate enough to see the proboscis monkey but I believe I will return as I have a few more days here sunblock and mosquito repellent are a must and be prepared for rain which comes and goes there are a number of cool hiking trails and the forest itself is really beautiful with many different trees, some being very unique in that they are covered in spikes. My tour came with lunch, which is a the face style and was pretty good. I'm quite picky and found plenty to enjoy.
