At Ntonso, visitors will also explore the Adinkra cloth, which signifies farewell or goodbye. Traditionally used as mourning attire by the Asantes, the cloth was originally available in red and black but now comes in a variety of vibrant colors.
- Bonwire Kente Weaving Centre - Known as the origin of Kente cloth in Ghana, this center provides a comprehensive tour of the Kente weaving process and its rich history. After the tour, participants can experience weaving the cloth themselves, just like the locals do.

Our Culture and Heritage Tour in the Ashanti region takes you to the Bonwire Kente Weaving Center and the Ntonso Adinkra Craft Village for an unforgettable experience. Witness skilled weavers crafting vibrant Kente cloth on traditional looms and discover the meanings behind various patterns and designs. Observe artisans creating traditional Adinkra symbols using age-old techniques. Explore a range of products, including cloth, pottery, and wood carvings. Get an up-close look at cocoa trees and learn about the cocoa cultivation process at a Cocoa tree plantation. Understand the steps involved in harvesting cocoa pods, extracting the beans, and how they are fermented, dried, and transformed into chocolate.
- We will use 3 hour for the visits at the centers but the remaining 1hour 30minutes is for the ride to the centers and 45 minutes drive from Kumasi to the centers.
