• Kunming - At 9:00 am, the tour guide will greet guests by name at their Kunming hotel lobby, Kunming airport, or train station.

• Green Lake (Cui Hu) - The first stop is Green Lake, where visitors can enjoy the fresh air and observe the morning activities of local residents. Green Lake Park is renowned as one of Kunming’s most beautiful parks, with its green waters, surrounding bamboo, and lush willows in spring and summer, earning it the nickname “the emerald of Kunming City.”
• Flowers and Birds Market of Kunming - Next, the tour proceeds to the Birds and Flowers Market, an ideal spot to experience local life and purchase souvenirs and flowers. Established in 1980, the market originally sold flowers, birds, pets, insects, and goldfish to locals. As business flourished, it attracted more visitors and evolved into a charming shopping and sightseeing destination with authentic local flavor.
• Jinma Biji Historic Site - Following this, guests will walk to visit Jinma Biji Archway, Nanping Street, and the East and West Pagodas, which are all in close proximity. The Jinma-Biji (Golden Horse-Green Rooster) Archway is a traditional architectural piece and the emblem of Kunming City, inspired by a popular legend about Dianchi Lake.
• Nanping Business Street - Nanping Street is a historic commercial area and old block of Kunming. In the past, it was a hub for finance, commerce, and entertainment, maintaining its appeal as a downtown district. During the Anti-Japanese War, it housed 48 financial institutions, including those on Huguo Road and Jinbi Road, earning it the nickname “Wall Street” of Kunming.
• Dongsi Pagoda - The Eastern and Western Pagodas, also known as the Pagoda of the East Temple and the Pagoda of the West Temple, are located about 200 meters apart in southern Kunming, Yunnan, China. They were built in the late eighth or early ninth century AD during the Kingdom of Nanzhao.
• Yuantong Temple - After lunch, the tour will transfer to Yuantong Temple, the grandest and most significant Buddhist temple in Yunnan Province. It is a central location for Buddhist activities in Kunming, attracting large crowds for worship on the first and fifteenth days of each month in the Chinese lunar calendar. Visitors may have the opportunity to witness these worship activities if visiting on the right days.
