After capturing photos at the fountain, the group proceeds to the central park, home to the statue of the sister “Ishkhnelebi” and the “9 April” memorial. The tour continues past the Kutaisi city hall, Opera house, and “Mon Plasir” arch. The group then visits the first gymnasium, the white bridge, the park of love, and the Golden Marquee Palace, before heading to the central grocery market known as “Mtsvane Bazari.”
Kutaisi Historical Museum - The tour visits the Kutaisi History Museum, which houses the ancient heritage of Kutaisi and Georgia.
Bagrati Cathedral - The group travels to Bagrati Cathedral, which offers a panoramic view of the city. Built in the 11th century, it symbolizes a united Georgia.
Gelati Monastery - The tour proceeds to the 12th-century Gelati Monastery, featuring three large churches, an academy, the grave of David the Builder, a bell tower, and monks’ residences. It was constructed by the esteemed Georgian King David the Builder.
Motsameta Monastery - The tour continues to Motsameta Monastery, associated with the story of the martyred brothers David and Constantine Mkheidze. Perched on a cliff and surrounded by a river on three sides, the monastery is set amidst stunning natural beauty.
Baia’s Wine - At lunchtime, the tour visits “Baia’s Wine,” a family winery in Bagdati municipality, village Obcha. Baia and her sister Gvantsa introduce the vineyard located just behind their home. The group then explores the wine cellar to sample various wines, including “Tsolikouri,” “Krakhuna,” “Aladasturi,” “Ojaleshi,” “Otskhanuri Sapere,” and “Chacha.” The visit concludes with a feast of delicious Imeretian cuisine prepared by their mother.
Kutaisi - Batumi
Batumi Boulevard - The first stop is Europe Square and the statue of Medea. The tour then moves to Piazza Square and the Church of St. Nicholas, followed by a visit to Batumi port. The group also sees the moving statue of Ali & Nino, the alphabet tower of Batumi, and strolls along the boulevard and through the dancing fountains park. The excursion concludes at The Drama Theatre of Batumi and the statue of Neptune.
Makhuntseti Waterfall - The tour heads to Makhuntseti Waterfall, one of Georgia’s tallest waterfalls. The group then visits King Tamar’s bridge, built in the 14th century, where guests can jump from the bridge and swim in the chilly mountain river.
Mirveti Waterfall - The next destination is Mirveti Waterfall, reached by crossing a hanging bridge and walking through the village.
Batumi - Canyons & Cave - Kutaisi
Prometheus Cave - The first stop is Prometheus Cave, which stretches 1.8 km and is located 40 meters below sea level. The cave features a hall of love where weddings are held, and visitors can enjoy an underground boat ride.
Martvili Canyon - The tour proceeds to Martvili Canyon, where a boat tour allows exploration of the canyon’s depths and its waterfalls.
Okatse Canyon - The final attraction is Okatse Canyon, Georgia’s deepest canyon, featuring hanging bridges and skywalks. Visitors can reach the bridge by trekking a 3 km route or taking an off-road taxi, offering an exhilarating experience.
