Kutaisi - The tour begins at the central square of Kutaisi, where the guide shares insights into the history of Georgia and Kutaisi. After capturing photos at the fountain, the group proceeds to the central park, home to the statue of the sisters “Ishkhnelebi” and the “9 April” memorial. The tour continues past the Kutaisi city hall, the Opera house, and the “Mon Plasir” arch. The journey includes a visit to the first gymnasium, the white bridge, the park of love, and the Golden Marquee Palace, concluding at the central grocery market, “Mtsvane Bazari.”
Kutaisi Historical Museum - The next stop is the Kutaisi History Museum, which preserves the rich heritage of Kutaisi.
Bagrati Cathedral - Following the museum visit, the tour ascends to Bagrati Cathedral, which offers a panoramic view of the city. Built in the 11th century, it stands as a symbol of a united Georgia.
Gelati Monastery - The tour then proceeds to the 12th-century Gelati Monastery. This complex features three large churches, an academy, the grave of David the Builder, a bell tower, and monks’ residences. It was constructed by the esteemed Georgian King David the Builder.
Motsameta Monastery - The journey continues to Motsameta Monastery, associated with the story of the martyred brothers, Lords David and Constantine Mkheidze. Perched on a cliff and surrounded by a river on three sides, the monastery is set amidst breathtaking natural beauty.
Baia’s Wine - At lunchtime, the tour visits the family winery “Baia’s Wine” in the village of Obcha, Bagdati municipality. Baia and her sister Gvantsa introduce the vineyard located just behind their home. The tour then moves to the wine cellar to sample various wines, including “Tsolikouri,” “Krakhuna,” “Aladasturi,” “Ojaleshi,” “Otskhanuri Sapere,” and “Chacha.” The experience concludes with a delightful meal of traditional Imeretian cuisine prepared by their mother.
Kutaisi - Canyons & Cave - Tbilisi
Prometheus Cave - The first destination is Prometheus Cave, stretching 1.8 km and situated 40 meters below sea level. The cave features a “hall of love,” where weddings are held, and offers an exciting underground boating experience.
Martvili Canyon - The tour then heads to Martvili Canyon, where participants enjoy a boat tour through the canyon, exploring its depths and waterfalls.
Okatse Canyon - The final highlight is Okatse Canyon, the deepest canyon in Georgia, featuring suspended bridges and skywalks. Visitors can reach the bridge by trekking a 3 km route or taking an off-road taxi, which offers an exhilarating experience. After a day filled with adventure and emotions, the tour returns to Kutaisi.
