This half-day guided journey will lead you to the historically rich, medieval era town of Kutna Hora, a location recognized and protected by UNESCO’s World Cultural and Natural Heritage. Nestled approximately 37 miles (60 km) to the east of Prague, the visually striking town of Kutna Hora owes its beauty and wealth to the extensive silver mining operations of the 14th and 15th centuries, which once positioned the town as a rival to Prague in terms of significance.
Throughout this adventure, you’ll be able to marvel at striking sites such as the distinctive Gothic Cathedral of St. Barbara, dedicated to the miner’s patron saint. You’ll get to visit Hrádek, a site that ties directly to the mining history of the town, and the Italian Court (Vlašský dvůr), a significant former royal mint that previously manufactured Prague grosch. Also included in the tour is the Gothic fountain and the admission fees for St. Barbara and Sedlec Ossuary.
