• Kaya Kinondo Sacred Forest - Proceed to the forest for a guided walk, where you’ll learn about the forest’s flora and fauna, as well as local cultural and sacred activities. Discover unique trees with significant local importance and uses, making for a truly relaxing experience.

Explore the ancient Digo settlement, the original home of the local community before they dispersed. The Main Shrine, accessible only to elders, will be discussed, though not visited by guests.

• Kaya Kinondo Sacred Forest - A brief transfer takes guests to a nearby village for approximately 60 minutes of cultural immersion. Engage with local life, explore traditional livelihoods, meet the village healer, and enjoy a captivating Digo traditional dance performance (around 15 minutes). Savor local African herbal tea made from lemongrass (around 15 minutes), and if desired, sample freshly tapped palm wine (mnazi).
  The experience concludes in the village, allowing guests to depart at their leisure.

Walk with a guide and learn about the beliefs, fears, and history of the Kaya dating back 600 years. Visit the shrines where locals retreated to communicate with their ancestral spirits through prayers and sacrificial offerings, and the places used as hideouts from enemies during early migrations. Enjoy the natural forest, rich with diverse flora and fauna, and observe the many animals and birds.
