Definite must do in Kyoto - Great experience with Juan. Even better it was just the four of us. Great coffee stop stop for fussy Melburnians and he knew all the short cuts to skip the crowds. Very knowledgeable and he made sure he looked after us all.

My husband and I had the... - My husband and I had the pleasure of cycling around the Eastern side of Kyoto with Indra today. We have been on other tours, but Cycle Kyoto ranks at the top! Indra was an awesome guide, providing plenty of history mixed with humor. He was both engaging and attentive to everyone’s needs. It was truly unforgettable. We are now considering booking another tour while we are still in Kyoto!

Terrific experience! The tour guide was outstanding. Knowledgeable, fluent in English, grew up in America. - What a fantastic way to see some of Kyoto! The bikes were perfect for the job. The route was fun and educational. But the tour guide made this tour for us. He was friendly, very knowledgeable of the area and spoke perfect English. He didn’t just take us to the sites. He explained the significance of each and the local customs. We discovered a great little coffee place along the way too. If you love cycling, this is a must do. If you don’t love being on a bike, the e-bikes make it easy for you - still a must-do in Kyoto.

Fabulous cycle tour with amazing guide! - The Early bird e-bike tour was a fabulous introduction to Kyoto. Usually a small group (up to 8) but we were lucky enough to have our amazing guide, Mayco, to ourselves. She’s a brilliant guide - great fun and has tonnes of historic facts to share about all of the many areas and temples we visited. The tour is well packed but with a good balance of biking and then stopping off to explore temples, a coffee stop and delicious lunch. Mayco was super helpful throughout the day, checking that we were both ok with the bikes and navigating the city’s many pathways. Really enjoyed the quieter backroads and following the riverside; so peaceful! A must do tour if you are in the area!

Super fun way to see Kyoto! - Paul was a fantastic E-bike tour guide! It was such a plus that he spoke English, which made communication a breeze. He had a thoughtful, well-planned itinerary that perfectly catered to the sites most important to us. Highly recommend him if you’re looking for a fun, smooth, and memorable tour!

Great experience. Highly recommended. Fun and educational. - The tour is really fun. Jay, the tour operator, was our guide. He spent extra time with us and took us on a great adventure through the streets of Kyoto. We went to several shrines, including Fushiminari, which has thousands of Tori Gates. Jay explained a lot of of the history and cultural meaning. We also went through parts of the local forests, which were tranquil and beautiful. Lunch was at a Michelin rated Ramen shop, and chocolate was excellent. There was a rain burst which cooled us down and made the countryside even more magical. Overall, it was a great experience,

What a great day out!!! - What a fabulous tour! Our family of 3 (two late forties, one thirteen year old) were really well taken care of on this “early bird e-bike tour (east side)” of Kyoto. Started at 8am, finished just after 3pm with a stop for coffee, a stop for lunch and plenty of shade-breaks (the weather was 39C). The route was well thought out avoiding all the main roads and using lots of small side roads and the bike path along the river. Shaune was a great guide and he told us lots of interesting things about the sights but also what it’s like to live in Japan. All 3 of our family members would highly recommend the tour. Lunch was really good too - a restaurant outside of the busy areas and super tasty.
