The initial hour will involve a stroll through the picturesque Gion district, lasting approximately one hour. Please be aware that walking is required during the first hour.

Look out for the guide that will be holding a board that says "GuideMe Japan".
Please arrive 10 minutes prior to the tour as we will start the tour on time and late guests will not be able to join the tour.

Fun! - It was really fun! The maiko game was the highlight, my teenager son loved it. Our guide was great too! Overall really worth it!

Best experience we had in Japan - This was the best tour we have done! Ai our guide was incredible she knew the history of Kyoto and was so friendly.
We got lucky it was only us on the so it was great! The tea house was so beautiful and the show with the Maiko was the highlight of our trip in Japan.
Thank you Ai you were fantastic and we had the best day! Make sure you spend the money and do this tour!

Fabulous experience and Guide - We had a wonderful tour and experience. Our tour guide Ai was fabulous. She was very knowledgeable, friendly, polite and accomodating. She had impeccable English.
The Maiko performance was beautiful and it felt a priviledge to spend some time talking to her afterwards. The Maiko Mother was very warm and made such an effort to make us feel welcome. Thank you so much.

Geisha's in Gion - We walked through the Gion district and learned about the how the Geisha's are trained, their prevalence (or lack of), their functions, and how they live. We were given a performance by a Maiko, and she played some games with us. This experience taught us about the geisha's place in Japanese history.

Once in a lifetime experience! - The main focus of this tour was meeting with the Geisha (meiko). Such a once-in-a-lifetime spectacular experience. It was 1 Meiko to 4 guests which was incredible to watch her dance, ask her questions and play a game with her!
The guide preferred us to leave our geisha related questions to the Meiko but it would have been even better to have a really comprehensive introduction with all the history of geisha on the walking tour in the lead up to the meeting. Nevertheless, still highly recommended!

Exceptional Event and Customer Service - Tang Quidong is a very knowledgeable and engaging tour guide. He provided us with many details about the history of the Gion District and the Geisha and Maiko. He encouraged questions, helped take great photos, and ensured we had a fantastic experience. At our request, he went above and beyond the expectations of this tour by assisting my cousin and I back to the original starting location so we would not get lost. I highly recommend both this beautiful and memorable event with the Maiko (who provided an exceptional performance and played the Japanese game with expertise) and having Tang Qidong as your personal guide.

Art of the Geisha with a Maiko in Kyoto - A walk through the Geisha district to the tea house set the stage for the Art of the Geisha performance. The young Maiko was gracious and polished. We enjoyed her dance, playing a game and interacting with her. We took several photos with the Maiko as well. A great experience overall.

Remarkable experience with a charming maiko - Soichiro is an excellent tour guide and this tour was one of my favorite experiences in Kyoto! In the exclusive show for our small group, we watched the maiko perform a traditional dance and afterward asked. questions. Then, we played a fun game individually agains the maiko, which was so much fun! The maiko gave us her business card and we got photos with her. The maiko was so charming and fun! What an experience! Remarkable really, just an amazing time.

Geisha Show - The tour and show will be remembered as one of our favourite tours. Leaning about the art of the Geisha and how many years they train to become a Maiko is true dedication. We really enjoyed the show.
