A must-do experience in Kyoto! - I am traveling with my 73 YO mother and 12 YO daughter and all of us agreed this was one of our favorite experiences in Japan so far. We had 8 people in our group, including our guide, which was a good number for socializing while not feeling like too many people. Our guide, Peco, was knowledgeable and gregarious; she did an amazing job of balancing history and fun. She also did a great job of translating our questions in English to Maiko in Japanese. Dinner was several courses and had something for everyone - raw, cooked, even vegetarian if you requested in advance. Peco told us about each dish in turn and was excited to share knowledge about the local cuisine. It was an all you can drink menu and sake flowed freely all evening, as served by Maiko. Dinner with Maiko was so entertaining and interesting! Her dancing was beautiful and everyone in our group had a laugh trying to play the game she taught us. She was gracious and lovely with a warm demeanor. Overall, I would highly recommend this for families including children 10 and older (though depends on interest and maturity level of the children) - it was a truly memorable experience!

Once in a lifetime experience - Such a unique and wonderful experience. You get a walking tour, dinner, and an experience with a maiko. Truly a once in a lifetime opportunity. The tour keeps the group size small and we lucked out with a group of 3 lending to a very private group experience.

Very special evening - Spend the evening with the lovely Nobu who was our guide and 5 other people on this small and private tour. We walked through Gion and learned about Maiko and Geiko before coming to the traditional restaurant. Lovely restaurant with tasteful food. And it was very special to meet and ask questions to the Meiko. Both Nobu and the Meiko where lovely and very kind and told us so much about Japanese culture and how and why Meiko and Geiko do things. Absolutely amazing and very special evening, would recommend this to everyone visiting Japan!!

A special experience - The night was really good. We first got some information about Geiko's and Maiko's. Afterwards we went to a tea house where we got some food and then the Maiko came. It was a very special experience and I would do it again. I really enjoyed the evening.
