Great day out - We had a great day with our guide Kai. The Bamboo Forest was busy, but very pretty and the gardens around the temples were so beautiful and peaceful. Kai was very informative and happy to have a chat while walking around. For lunch we asked him for suggestions and he took us to a great little shop that had yummy and filling food for great prices. We finished the planned tour early so Kai took us for a walk along the river to a lovely little temple that was just the place to finish off the day - calm, quiet, peaceful. All you could hear were the birds and the rain.

Fabulous day with blowfish crossed off my bucket list - Amazing day tour with Yoshi who showed me the best photo spots. I take a ton of pictures. Finally got to try blowfish at a magical lunch made by a fourth generation sushi purveyor at a 100 + market stall and saw amazing gardens and shrines. One of my best days of the trip. Highly recommended.

Bamboo forest, river boat, monkey park, temple, day tour. - A wonderful experience! Eriko adapted the day to our preferences and suggested a river boat cruise after the monkey park which was an absolute highlight of the trip! She knew the best places to eat and how to get there, and was great with the kids and understanding of any needs or rests required. I would absolutely recommend this tour! This was a great day!

A great day in Kyoto with a great guide. - We visited the Bamboo Forest and a number of shrines and beautiful gardens after which we travelled into the city centre, went kimono shopping and had a delicious pork cutlet lunch. Our guide Tokiko was well versed in the history of Kyoto and the sites we visited, shared her local knowledge , and we will always remember her enthusiasm and kindness.

A day to remember with Josh in Arashiyama! - We had an incredible day in Arashiyama with Josh. He took great care in ensuring that our children were be entertained, and rearranged the itinerary with them in mind. He had a wonderful balance of being informative, but then also giving us space to explore. Everything from the train tickets, to a wonderful lunch, to teaching us about Buddhist meditation in the temple. Would 100% recommend a tour with Josh! Many thanks

A family friendly guide - Kiyoshi was terrific. Very accommodating and helpful. Friendly, flexible and even helped with our kids. We left from Kyoto to go to Arashiyama, Kiyoshi met us at our hotel and guided us strollers and all through the subway to the Monkey Grove and the bamboo forest, we ended the day at the Train museum which was perfect for your kids.

Nice tour. Kiyo was very kind. It would have been nice to get more history about the sites. But overall it was nice. - Nice tour. More history about sites and culture would have made it better.

Very poor/ not worth it At All - Visiting Arashiyama/monkey forest/shrines can and should be done independently as our guide (although a very kind lady), totally lacked energy, information, or anything that would be interesting or engaging. I have NO idea what we paid over $200 for.. and on top of that we paid ours and the guide’s monkey park entrance.. so, forgive me (guide and trip advisor), but this was a not a tour.. a nice lady walked beside us and took a cpl of pics- that is it… not worth $200+ …
