A day you'll remember - BEST. TOUR. EVER.
Maki is the tour guide of this tour and she is the reason to go with this bike tour! She is an absolutely delightful person with a killer sense of humor and great stories that bring Kyoto’s history to life, in the most engaging way. The bike ride itself was exhilarating as we rode from point to point through beautiful neighborhoods and special sites. Maki kept everyone safe with her clear signals and directions, so we could relax and enjoy the experience.
Oh wait, did I say this tour made our trip? It did. Maki is authentic and her joy is contagious.

Best tour in all of Kyoto!!! Period. :) - I don’t think there is a better way to explore Kyoto than a bike tour. So, the only question is which one you should do. 4 hours is the right amount of time, not too short and not too long. And having an e-bike made it much more enjoyable. So which company should you choose? This one!!!! Maki, is the owner/operator and she is awesome. She is super knowledgeable and friendly and speaks perfect English. She is also hilarious and best of all she laughed at my stupid jokes as well. Cheers to Maki and the great company you’ve built. Book this tour now!! You won’t regret it!!!

This was such a fun filled few hours. We saw so many areas we would not have discovered on our own. - This was a brilliant afternoon and I couldn’t recommend it more highly. Our guide was so lovely and taught us so much. We went to lots of hidden areas and saw a different side to the city that wouldn’t otherwise be possible.

Educational and easy - Google Maps will take you to the bike shop. It might not be open until 8:59 but don’t worry, your tour guide is easy to contact via the trip advisor app. 4 hours is just enough to ride.
The e-bike has three speeds and three power levels. A basket to hold a jacket or knapsack. Very easy to ride and adjust. We are seniors (60+) and rode these with ease.
Maki is your guide. She took us on very quiet streets so there was minimal traffic to negotiate. We stopped at different shrines and temples (she explained the difference). She also helped us with the proper way to make offers. Gohen Maki!!! And we had great fortune.

Awesome Ride! - We had the BEST time on our Kyoto bike tour! Our guide was absolutely amazing — funny, kind, and made everyone feel comfortable and safe the entire ride. She took us through a perfect mix of popular sights and quieter local areas, giving us just enough time at each stop without ever feeling rushed or tired. The bikes were super comfortable and easy to ride, which made the whole experience even better.
We actually compared our route with another group led by a different guide, and we were so glad we had ours — she chose way better spots and timed everything perfectly. This tour was truly one of the highlights of our trip to Japan. Highly recommend!

Fab tour! - A brilliant way to see what Kyoto has to offer over an afternoon. Maki was a great tour guide, knowledgable, friendly and funny (which we learnt is a trait of those from Osaka!) , would 100% recommend.

Amazing afternoon in Kyoto - The bike tour with Maki was an amazing experience. It was a lovely afternoon and we visited multiple shrines and temples where Maki explained the differences between the two religions in Japan. It was really interesting to hear the story from a local. She is fun, knowledgeable and authentic. The bikes were great and in good condition. I would totally recommend to everyone to do this tour in Kyoto.

The Best Thing We Did in Kyoto! - We absolutely loved this bike tour. Maki was fantastic – insightful, funny, and full of local knowledge. She shared personal stories and perspectives that made the experience truly memorable and gave us a deeper connection to Kyoto. The route was well-paced, the bikes were comfortable and safe, and exploring the backstreets of Kyoto was really fun. Definitely the best thing we did in Kyoto!

Book it now - Don’t delay book it now. Well worth every cent. Maki was amazing and I loved her explanation on Japans culture and history. My 2 kids were engaged with her as well and they also enjoyed the tour very much. Her personal stories along the way made the tour for us.

Highly recommended e-bike tour - The tour was excellent, I would strongly recommend it to others as well - as opposed to a walking tour since you can cover more distance and biking is also more fun than walking in crowded streets.
Maki was very knowledgeable, entertaining and interesting. She explained things we would not have gotten from a guidebook.
The biking was safe, she takes you mostly on small streets with not a lot of traffic. One of the best experiences we had in Japan so far.
