• Kiyomizu-dera Temple - Continue to Kiyomizu-dera, a historic temple perched on a hillside offering breathtaking views of the city below. (The bus ride to Kiyomizu-dera takes about 30 minutes.) Remember, access is only allowed with a pre-purchased ticket. Marvel at the wooden stage extending over the hillside, surrounded by cherry and maple trees. Visit the main hall and the sacred Otowa Waterfall, where drinking from the streams is believed to bring health, longevity, and success. Before visiting Kiyomizu-dera Temple, enjoy free time for lunch.
