Introduction to Geiko culture. - Ben led us on a 2 hour walking tour and introduction on Geiko culture. We had a 7PM tour which is a nice experience with the evening light and cooler temperatures. Ben talks fast and walks fast but made sure the small group stayed together. Ben points out the significance of signs and symbols adorning the alleyways. You get a crash course in identifying the different types of Geiko and tea shops. The size of the group was good. You may or may not get a glimpse actual Geiko as they go about their business. But that’s not really the point. The overall experience was smooth from meet up through out the walk.
