Experience the enchanting performance of a real Maiko, an apprentice Geisha, up close. With only about 40 Maikos remaining in Kyoto, witnessing one is a rare and extraordinary opportunity. Kyoto is the exclusive place to immerse yourself in the authentic Geisha culture, so don’t miss out!

The show begins with the Maiko performing a traditional dance, typically lasting around 5 minutes, which is the standard duration for most Maiko performances. After two dances, each approximately 5 minutes long, there will be an opportunity for a Q&A session, photo-taking with the Maiko, and a chance to engage in a traditional Japanese game together.

Please be mindful of the following guidelines for the show:

1. No outside food or drinks are allowed — please keep them in your bag.

2. Socks are required — if you don’t have any, our guide will help you purchase them at 7-Eleven.

3. Do not leave during the show — if you have any prior commitments, please inform your guide in advance.

4. Set your phone to Do Not Disturb mode.
