- Kinkakuji Temple - Kinkaku-ji, officially known as Rokuon-ji, is a Zen Buddhist temple in Kyoto, Japan, and a popular tourist destination. It is recognized as a World Heritage Site, a National Special Historic Site, a National Special Landscape, and one of the 17 Historic Monuments of Ancient Kyoto. The temple is famously known for its reliquary, the Golden Pavilion, whose top two floors are adorned with 0.5 μm gold leaf. The current pavilion was reconstructed in 1955 after being destroyed by arson.
- Fushimi Inari-taisha Shrine - Fushimi Inari-taisha is the principal shrine of the kami Inari, situated in Fushimi-ku, Kyoto, Kyoto Prefecture, Japan. The shrine is located at the base of a mountain, also called Inari, which stands 233 meters (764 ft) above sea level. It features trails leading up the mountain to numerous smaller shrines, spanning 4 kilometers (2.5 mi) and taking approximately 2 hours to ascend. It remains uncertain whether the mountain’s name, Inariyama, or the shrine’s name originated first.
