An Unforgettable Family Sushi Experience in Kyoto! - Our family had an absolutely fantastic experience at Sushi Atelier in Kyoto. The sushi-making class was one of the highlights of our trip and something we’ll remember for years. Kana and her husband were incredibly warm, patient, and attentive throughout the entire class. They explained each step clearly, guided everyone carefully, and made sure both adults and kids felt comfortable and confident making sushi. Their passion for what they do really shows, and they created such a welcoming atmosphere. What made the experience even more special was how engaging it was for our children. It was their first visit to Kyoto, and getting to learn how to make sushi themselves made the trip unforgettable. Watching them proudly create and eat their own sushi was priceless. This class wasn’t just a lesson, it was a cultural experience and a memory our whole family will cherish. If you’re visiting Kyoto and want something fun, authentic, and family-friendly, Sushi Atelier is an absolute must. Thank you, Kana and team, for making our first Kyoto trip so special! 🍣✨

Don’t miss! - Five stars without hesitation. This was a phenomenal experience from start to finish. The team was incredibly friendly, welcoming, and somehow made us feel like sushi prodigies instead of two people one roll away from embarrassing ourselves. They made the whole experience fun, easy, and genuinely memorable. Great people, great atmosphere, and a great time all around. We came for sushi and left with full stomachs, better chopstick confidence, and probably an undeserved amount of pride.

Fantastic Workshop - This sushi Workshop is fantastic. Kana and her husband are both so likable and we felt really welcomed from the start on. The atelier fits perfect in the "Japanese atmosphere" and everyone had enough space. The explanations were easy to understand and it was fun to make the different nigiris and the big Maki roll. Beside the help during sushi making, both are always answering questions and gave insides about the japanese culture or made really good recommandations (e.g for a nice Matcha store). After this Workshop we will definitely make sushi at home.

Outstanding experience - This was a wonderful experience. My wife, daughter, and I did the sushi making lesson. Kana was our instructor and she was very friendly, informative and fun. We laughed shared stories and made some of the most delicious sushi we’ve ever had with our own hands! I’ve done these experiences before, but I would rank this at the top of the list.
