Revving Up for Adventure

As a seasoned surfer, I’ve spent countless hours chasing the perfect wave along the sun-drenched coasts of Central America. But every now and then, I like to trade my surfboard for something a little more rugged. That’s how I found myself in La Cruz, Costa Rica, ready to embark on an ATV adventure that promised to take me off the beaten path and into the heart of the region’s tropical beauty.

Meeting up with Fidel at the Dreams Las Mareas beach, I was immediately struck by his enthusiasm and knowledge of the area. He laid out the plan for our tour, which would take us through a series of picturesque beaches and quaint local towns. With a group of fellow adventurers, we geared up, donning helmets and light casual wear, ready to tackle the trails.

Fidel was an excellent guide, sharing stories of the local culture and pointing out wildlife along the way. His passion for the area was infectious, and it was clear that he took great pride in showcasing the natural wonders of his homeland.

We made a stop in the small town of El Jobo, where the pace of life seemed to slow down. Here, we had the opportunity to sample some local cuisine, a delightful mix of flavors that reflected the region’s rich culinary heritage.

As we wrapped up our tour, we visited a local supermarket, a stark contrast to the resort’s offerings. It was a reminder of the simple pleasures that can be found in everyday life, away from the hustle and bustle of tourist hotspots.
