- Mirador de Chipeque - The Orotava Valley unfolds beneath you like a lush green carpet inviting tranquility. If clouds wrap the landscape like a soft blanket, look skyward for the silhouette of Teide, a giant watching over the horizon. Behind it, the Teno Massif rises like an ancient guardian, and La Palma stands out in the distance, like a dream.
- Centro de Visitantes El Portillo - Drawn by the breathtaking landscape, you arrive at the El Portillo Visitor Centre, unaware of the wealth of natural knowledge awaiting inside. As you explore the centre’s small museum, you’re captivated by the information panels and absorb fascinating facts about the origins of Mount Teide and the unique species inhabiting it. You even get a glimpse inside a volcanic tube! Never before have you been so intrigued by a natural environment. Suddenly, you’re eager to learn everything about this impressive volcano.

Teide National Park - Teide National Park is the highest area of the island of Tenerife (in the Canary Islands) and of Spain. Declared a National Park on January 22, 1954, it is the largest and oldest of the national parks in the Canary Islands and the third oldest in Spain. In 2007, it was declared a World Heritage Site by UNESCO, and since then, it is considered one of the 12 Treasures of Spain.
In this area is the Teide volcano (in Guanche and originally, Echeyde or Echeide), which at 3,718 meters, is the highest peak in the Canary Islands, Spain, and any land emerging from the Atlantic Ocean. It is also the third largest volcano in the world from its base on the ocean floor, only surpassed by Mauna Kea and Mauna Loa in Hawaii. The height of Teide also makes the island of Tenerife the tenth highest island in the world. Next to Teide is the second highest mountain in the Canarian Archipelago, Pico Viejo, at 3,135 meters above sea level, both being the only Canary mountains exceeding 3,000 meters in altitude.
It is also the most visited national park in Europe and currently the ninth in the world. - Los Roques de Garcia - The Roques de García are a stunning testament to the raw power of nature. These towering rock formations, sculpted by millions of years of erosion, stand like sentinels protecting the majestic Teide. Their otherworldly appearance and the dramatic backdrop of the Cañadas del Teide create a truly unforgettable sight. As you gaze upon these geological wonders, you will feel transported to a landscape that seems both ancient and alien.
- Mirador Minas de San Jose - Before descending towards La Orotava, we will stop at Las Minas de San José. After miles of crossing the island’s rugged volcanic terrain, we will encounter an almost surreal contrast: an immense expanse of white, powdery sand stretches out before us like a mirage. It is as if we have stumbled upon a strange landscape.
-
Casa de Los Balcones - Step back in time and immerse yourself in the rich history and traditions of the Canary Islands at Casa de los Balcones. This 17th-century mansion, completed in 1632, is a testament to the region’s architectural heritage and a vibrant centre of traditional crafts.
The house features a stunning courtyard, typical of Canarian architecture, with a large wooden balconied façade stretching across two floors. Lush tropical plants create an oasis of serenity in the middle of the bustling town of La Orotava. - Hijuela del Botanico - La Oratava - A botanical masterpiece, this 4,000-square-metre garden was created in 1788 and has been a Cultural Heritage Site since 2008. Located behind La Orotava Town Hall, this peaceful oasis boasts a diverse collection of over a hundred plant species. From the majestic horse chestnut to the intensely hued flame tree, the garden offers a fascinating journey through the plant kingdom. Don’t miss the chance to marvel at the ancient dragon tree, a true botanical wonder.
- Jardines Victoria - Step into a romantic paradise at the Victoria Gardens. Designed by French artist Adolph Coquet in the 19th century, these gardens offer a harmonious blend of nature and architecture. The terraced layout, cascading fountains, and vibrant flowers create a truly enchanting atmosphere. Enjoy stunning views of La Orotava from the upper terraces and immerse yourself in the rich history of this unique space.

Private tour of Tenerife - Belen gave us a wonderful tour of the northern portion of Tenerife. We stopped at many spectacular viewing points and learned a lot about the island and its history.

Thanks for this great experience! Thanks for this wonderful tour! - We had booked a private tour from cruise port and were picked up there on time as agreed and also brought back.
Belén showed us the most beautiful sides of her island, headed for great viewpoints and also responded to our wishes. So we were eating very delicious local specialties at lunchtime in a restaurant.
We can only recommend this tour!

A perfect day! - Diego was a great guide who knew his information very well. He customized the tour as he discovered our interests and led us on a wonderful tour. This was absolutely in the top 5 of tours we have done with cruises, or on our own.

No show - They didn’t show up. Called the local company and they said they never got the booking from Viator. Trying to secure a refund now. Had to take a taxi

Never again - We were 200 meters from the agreed meeting point at the agreed time, but did not get anywhere as the meeting point was on another ship and we were not allowed on the port grounds. Contacting Viator by email, chat, and WhatsApp was not possible, not to mention by phone.
I cannot recommend this tour operator to anyone.

Difficulty communicating and getting refund for tour cancelled by them - I have already written the review for the cancelled tour and the communication methods. I would like to add that after 18 days from the date of the canceled tour, on request when the amount of 156.80 euros paid is refunded they do not respond to emails or Whatsapp messages despite being read. I still keep communication with their agent where the amount is ridiculed as derisory and that they are proud to be TripAdvisor’s choice 2025 and 2024. I really can't explain this unserious way of managing my practice, or rather ignore it.

Terrible!!! - They cancelled 20 minutes before they were supposed to meet us and after we already were on our way to meet up! Only learned of them cancelling when I called for better directions! Would rate negative if I could.

To avoid!!!! - I booked through my trusted provider, a few days later Gloma Travel contacted me directly to offer to book directly with them. If I had never done!!! The night before the excursion they sent me WA, after I tried to contact them in vain that the tour was cancelled. I tried to ask to move the tour a few days later. After hours they sent me the affirmative answer, but the day before the tour when I asked for further confirmation they sent me the warning for bad weather that had nothing to do with the requested trip. When I asked for clarifications, for all the answer they wrote me that I am very rude, that their agency is TripAdvisor’s choice 2025 and 2024, that they do not need my little change of 100 euros and little more ... that anyway I still have not had back ... the ways of the answer were, to say the least, haughty .. it seemed a mockery. I await a response to this review equally devoid of self-reflection. I am curious when and if I will ever have my “little change” back.

Company Mandated Weather Cancellation Never Refunded - Gloma travel cancelled our trip due to a national weather advisory which was understandable. However, it has been a month and they still have not refunded us which they wrote us they would and have in fact stopped responding to our inquiries.
