The one trip you must do! - We did the La Fortuna 1 Day tour which included: Waterfall / Volcano / Mistico Hanging Bridges and Hot Spring and what an adventure! We got picked up and warmly greeted by Norlando who was so knowledgeable and entertaining. He first took us to the Waterfall and then Volcano followed by lunch and told us some of the facts around the sights as well as showing and talking us through the rainforest and animals that he spotted. It was a very memorable experience, and NoR...lando made us laugh constantly on our hike. Lunch was a 'typical Costa Rican' of rice, plantain and a choice of pork, chicken, fish or vegetarian with some welcomed iced tea after the hike. After lunch some of our group went straight to the hot springs where we went on to the Mistico hanging bridges. Our guide on this part of the tour was Joseph, who again was super knowledgeable and passionate about all the vegetation and creatures he spotted. He bounced from one sighting to another with enthusiasm and helped all of us get great pictures from his telescope. The tour was longer than I expected which was testament to the amount of things Joseph spotted on the way, and we came away tired but with a lot of photos and info. We then went on from here to the natural thermal river for about 30 minutes before being dropped back at the hotel. The whole day was filled with so much information and sights to see and if you only do one activity in La Fortuna then this would be it! There is a fair amount of walking on this tour so I would suggest you need a reasonable level of fitness as there are 500 steps down/up to the waterfall and then a hike up to the base of the volcano in high levels of humidity.

La fortuna Volcano and Waterfall tours - We had a wonderful experience at the Arenal Volcano, hanging bridges and hot springs. We also hiked and swam La Fortuna waterfall. MAURICIO was our tour guide for Volcano hike and waterfall and he was so informative and fun. We learned all about native plants and cultures of the area. We accidently our hotel key on the bus and Mauricio and bus driver Marvin miraculously found it and returned it to us next day!!! RANDALL gave us the tour at hanging bridges and he was also very fun and informative. Big thumbs up!!!

Great tour - Wear good shoes you will be hiking up the side of a volcano and it is rocky and steep. Mariusio was our tour good and did a wonderful job!! He was very knowledgeable on the plants and wildlife in the rainforest! I would come back just to see him again!! They served us lunch and the tilapia was very good!!

Really excited to see a sloth - Our guide was a very knowledgeable and nice young man (sorry I've forgotten your name!). The 3 mile hike up was just about right for us, we saw a sloth (fab!), a beautiful toucan, a hawk, a scorpion and a raccoon. The view from the top was wonderful. Great to relax in the hotel springs afterwards, definitely recommend this tour.

Through the jungle until the volcano appears - Neyfrim our guide has passionately introduced the nature around the Arenal volcano. The final bath in the hot river was next to the volcano that highlight. Also top for spontaneous excursions, as only around 5 hrs. On the way.

La fortuna adventures - Frandel and Melvin ( our driver) were awesome. Great experience. Did arsenal hike, hanging bridges and hot springs. Highly recommend.

Great activity at arenal - Brandon our guy was very good. I knew a lot of stuff and you can tell he loves the nature and what he do. The thermal river is a nice place

Volcano explanation - This was a great way to learn about the volcano. It is a pretty good hike probably about 4 miles. The guide had live though the 2010 eruption and it was neat to hear his experience.

Arenal Volcano Hike with Guide Brandon - Was an amazing time! Brandon was a phenomenal guide, we were able to have such a great experience because of him. He had so much knowledge about the history of the volcano and the wildlife during the hike, which made the tour all the more awesome.
