Great guide & tour // - Heiner was a great guide and very friendly :) He gave our group history of the volcano and information about the natural environment in Costa Rica. The nearby cows were a highlight of the tour at the end and the pineapple and papaya was delicious

Highly recommend! - We had a great time with Diego and Andres!! Very informative and interesting learning about the volcano eruption of 1968. While you can hike this on your own, I strongly recommend doing a guided tour so you don’t miss out on some of the interesting history and new vegetation of the land. After the hike, we were greeted with fresh fruit and water :)

Awesome informative tour - We went on the private volcano hike with Karina! It was a great hike and she was an awesome guide. My husband and I are not in the greatest shape but she kept a good pace, did not push us and was so knowledgeable about the area. The hike itself has some uphill, is not that hard, and is a combination of a dirt trail and some lava rocks, but the scenery is so beautiful that you so frequently to admire it that you don't notice anything.

Beautiful scenic hike... - Beautiful scenic hike near Arenal. It ended up being a private tour since no one else signed up with us, so just our family. Diego was very knowledgeable about the history, plants, birds, and animals. Delicious fruit snack at the end. Highly recommend!

Beautiful Arenal hike - We had a wonderful tour with Roy, who is extremely knowledgeable. Be aware of there lots of steps made of first and rocks, few handholds and lava rock paths comprised of various sizes of uneven and loose lava rocks. A walking stick is highly recommended if you have any balance, ankle or knee issues. Roy was amazing and made sure everyone in the group was comfortable and safe.

Top guide makes for a La Fortuna highlight - Our tour guide, Darren, was excellent. It was a rainy day with limited volcano views but his in-depth knowledge of the area, ability to identify interesting flora and fauna, and the geology of the area made the trip worth while. From Toucans to Sloths to the history of the eruptions and their impact Darren was great. An original guide in the area if you can get him. He’s been a guide for over 30 years. He was patient with a mixed group (e.g., climbing down the lava flow) but willing to push the group for the best views (e.g., up the cow path).

Volcan arenal - Mercedes is a guide who speaks French very well. We were able to know the history of the arenal volcano as well as the discovery of this magnificent volcano.
