- F7W8+PC Tabacon - We start our day by driving up the mountains near Arenal lake. At the highest point, we arrive at the MIstico hanging bridges park. Here we enjoy the wide panoramic views over the northern zone including the Volcano and the Arenal lake. Our hike takes us over 6 large bridges with some spanning up to 80 meters. These high structures get you at eye height with the abundant wildlife. Your professional guide is with you to have you spot as much as possible. Having hiked for about 2.5 hours we leave the bridges behind us and go close to the volcano. A short drive takes us close to the enormous lava fields that were deposited during the big 1968 eruption. Being this close gives you a good sense of the enormity of the volcano. Having hiked and enjoyed the lava field for about 1.5hours we are ready for some food. Now we take you to the rainforest cafe where you can choose from a variety of tasty dishes Having been properly fed all that is left to do is relax in the hot spring pools. You can hang out in any of the 6 pools that offer thermal water in a range of temperatures. It is a great way to end an active day and is often seen as a nice moment to share experiences with fellow travelers.

Great tour of the rainforest - This tour was fun. Hotel pickup was on time. Hike though the rainforest was a decent length and we saw a few snakes, frogs and spiders. My knee bothers me from time to time and I was concerned the hike would be too tough, but it was very manageable. Unfortunately we weren't able to see the volcano, but the weather in a place like this is very unpredictable. The rain fell the entire hike, make sure you walk with a poncho.

Great experience overall,... - Great experience overall, David was so knowledgeable and genuinely passionate about sharing his homeland with us. He helped us spot a bunch of snakes, lizards, frogs and told us so many cool facts about the place. The only thing we didn’t love was how crowded the hot springs were when we got there, but it was a Sunday so there were a lot of families. From a guide perspective, it was a really good tour!

It was amazing. Well... - It was amazing. Well worth the money and our guide was very knowledgeable. They spotted things I would’ve never seen and it was really nice to learn about the different species.

Fun for the whole family! - This was a fun day for our whole family! Our guides Rasta and Melanie (names might be off) were great, and the pace of everything seemed appropriate for a range of age and fitness levels.
We did the hanging bridges first, followed by the volcano hike and then headed to the hot springs. Rasta pointed out various wildlife along the way and showed us a closer view with his telescope in several cases. Mid-way through, we also had a nice snack of pineapple provided the touring company, which was delicious and refreshing.
One thing to note is that the hot springs are contained in what feels a bit like a mini water park. This was different from the open air hot springs I’d experienced elsewhere in Costa Rica, so I’m just mentioning it for those who’ve previously been to hot springs and might have expectations about what they might look like. :-)
I highly recommend this tour for those wanting to explore nature under the guidance of knowledgeable tour guides!

Great 3 hours hanging bridges guided tour and great experience on the rocky lava Arenal trail - Make sure to get a big breakfast before leaving early around 7h00 AM and bring water and nuts. The next time you will eat is around 2h00 PM and lots of walking to do. Mystico hanging bridges is a wonderful site to visit with lots of birds, monkeys, reptiles. Also beautiful view at the volcano. The next walk is the SILENCIO volcano trail reaching the farest highest point permitted. Consider bringing a rain coat because the probability of rain and wind are high. During the bus drive to the Arenal Volcano park we had 2 tires puncture. The company made the proper arrangement to send another bus promptly and we were able to follow the schedule. Lunch is a typical Tico meal with chicken, rice, beans, plantain bananas and salad. The last activity is the Hotsprings which are not worth it. The company offers the same tour including another option: volcano thermal waterfall swimming which is a much better choice.

Great and informative experience! - Experience was great! It POURED rain and we couldn't see a thing but Franklin, our guide, still took the time to make sure we saw and experienced as much as possible. The animals were hiding b/c of the weather but we still learned so much about the local flora and he made it so interesting. I can only imagine what it would have been like if the weather cooperated!
