Best idea ever! - Yari was our guide. We are not normally guide people. She was INCREDIBLE! She did the tour in both English and Spanish. She was so knowledgeable and we saw a bunch of sloths, babies, owls, birds and much more. We appreciated her as a guide!

Great tour and a great place to see sloths in the wild - We were in La Fortuna and Monteverde for a week. We did several tours and all were enjoyable. However, two tours stood out and one was out tour of the Bogarin Trail. We stopped in without a reservation and were prepared to do a self-guided tour. However, they were more than happy to provide a guide on the spot. We got very lucky and had William Bogarin as our guide. He is a co-founder and had many great stories to tell us of the area. But it was the amount of wildlife that we saw that really stood out (multiple sloths, poison dart frogs, owl, feur-de-lance, hummingbird nest, and various birds). It was also a fully natural area, nothing held in captivity. Highly recommend anyone go to the Bogarin Trail over some of the other more touristy sloth tours in the area.

Highlight of our trip - Bogarin Trail Sloth Tour was an absolute highlight of our trip—our kids absolutely loved it! We saw several sloths, including an unforgettable moment spotting a mom with her baby. It was such a special experience. Our guide was fantastic—extremely knowledgeable and able to answer every single question we had, making the tour both fun and educational. You can tell they really know and care about the wildlife. They do offer a self-guided option, but honestly, don’t bother—the guided tour is worth every penny and truly makes the experience so much richer. Highly recommend!

William Bogarin is an excellent guide, we have seen more than 10 sloths, and several other animals! I recommend. - We were guided by William Bogarin, the owner! He knows his park, knows the history of the volcano and has a lot of experience to tell us.

Great choice - Great tour for animal sightseeing. If you take the last tour you may be lucky to see some nocturnal animals.

Fun, easy, educational. This is a Costa Rica experience. - Don't skip the tour guide, unless you want to walk around without seeing much. Ask for Alejandro if you want a funny, engaging, and knowledgeable guide.

Do this with a guide! - We had such a great experience- our guide Jackson was so awesome. Very knowledgeable- we learned a ton, and spotted so much wildlife! Saw two toed and three toed sloths (including a mom and baby!), poisonous frogs, owls, and lots of interested plants and insects. We wouldn’t have noticed ANY of it without our guide- highly recommend!

Wet but wonderful - The weather was terrible. It literally rained from start to finish including serious downpours. Despite this we saw 3 sloths, poison dart frogs, 3 spoonbill herons, 3 thrush chicks in a nest, a bull ant and 3 owls. The lady guide (Yari?) was excellent. Really inclusive, patient and knowledgeable. Lots of interesting facts about the plants and trees as well as the animals and birds. We had a great time.

Guide was not kid... - Guide was not kid friendly. Took too long. Should have joined groups with kids and had a better guide for kids. Also should have grouped English and Spanish groups separately. Translation to Spanish took a long time. Highlight was very end we saw a sloth in tree moving arms. But tour didn’t need to be two hours long.
