- Arenal Rafting - Following an exhilarating canyoning experience, embark on an exciting white water rafting journey on Costa Rica’s wild rivers. Join your team on a sturdy raft and paddle through rapids that will challenge your skills and teamwork. Feel the excitement of the Rio Balsa, with a 45-minute class III section of continuous rapids, followed by a more relaxed hour-long section with gentler rapids. Enjoy swimming in tropical waters, savoring fruit by the riverside, and observing wildlife such as sloths, toucans, and iguanas. Relish the thrill of conquering each rapid and working together to navigate the powerful currents. Conclude the adventure with a delightful Costa Rican lunch.

This tour starts at a local farm where the locals will give you a warm welcoming, after the guides dress you up with the harness, helmet and gloves, we will take a short hike of 5 minutes to immerse in the dense vegetation in order to find our hidden canyon, once we get the first training rappel the guides will offer a safety speech, and start going down the first rappel of 49 ft. As skills progress and confidence grows, you will descent 3 more rappels every one with different challenges. The heights of the waterfalls on this tour are between 49 ft and 131 ft.
First, you’ll descend into a breathtaking world of cascading waterfalls, hidden trails, and rocky cliffs. Rappel down vertical drops, leap into refreshing pools, and navigate through narrow gorges, surrounded by the lush tropical rainforest.
After an invigorating canyoning session, it’s time to take on the untamed rivers of Costa Rica in a thrilling white water rafting adventure.
- During this tour you will travel by van for a total of 2 hours, including all transportation of the day.

You can directly to our base of operations in La Fortuna (Arenal Rafting Company), Avenue 333, Street 460, where we have a secure park and other facilities. From this place we continue on our bus.

Fab experience, highly recommend! - An amazing combo day tour with canyoning/rapelling followed by white water rafting! Well organised by ABC Canyoning and Arenal Rafting and great food provided throughout!! Went with our 10 year old son and 8 year old daughter and they were well looked after! Highly recommend. Jaime (from Colombia!) was fab at Arenal Rafting

Great canyoning - Today I did the canyoning excursion .I did not do the combo tour . The guides were amazing . Very safe and knowledgeable. The meal at the end was very delicious. The hike back up from canyoning . It’s a tough one, Im sure I’ll be sore tomorrow . But it was worth it. I do not remember the guides names we had today . But they were so great.

Great canyoning experience - We did the morning canyoning tour. Friendly staff, very safety conscious. Great experience walking through jungle and rappelling down a series of waterfalls, the last of which was 230ft /70m. Excellent lunch was provided, there were options for all diets e.g. fish, meat, veggie, vegan. Overall a great experience :-)

Rappelling in Beautiful Waterfalls - This canyoneering tour was the highlight of our family trip to Costa Rica. Alonzo and Gray were terrific guides, with safety as their #1 priority. They clearly communicated rappelling instructions and the plan for the day. Since our time slot was at noon, we drove to a nice spot and had lunch first. Then we walked to the 1st rappel. After doing 4 rappels, each one different and progressively more challenging , we hiked up to the top of”Infinity Falls.” It was very beautiful and over 80 meters high. The guides use the 4th rappel as a test to make sure you’ll be safe on Infinity falls. I’m an active 62 year old woman in good physical condition. I was concerned about getting hurt by maybe spinning around due to the force of the water and hitting the rocks. But I felt confident because of Alonzo and Gray’s instruction and my previous life experiences. You have to be able to focus on the task and not panic, especially when the water is pounding you. After all the high fives, we hiked back up to where we started and changed into our dry clothes. There was coffee, hot chocolate and chocolate for sale. I recommend wearing a rain jacket and having a warm, dry jacket to put on afterwards. They keep your stuff at the lunch place where you start and finish. This is not for everyone, but it was great for our active family, boy (18), girl (26), dad (63) and me (62).

Canyoneering - The guides were great and full of information about the area, and the trip was a lot of fun. Definitely do this trip if you are in La Fortuna-Arenal.

Awesome, breath-Taking, worth every penny! - INCREDIBLE! And that’s just for starters. Alex, Arturo and the rest of the crew made it unforgettable in every good way! Talk about getting your money’s worth? They got that covered too! The hike to the site takes you through rugged triple canopy jungle, filled with the natures finest regalia of plants and animals. Our guide was a walking encyclopedia of the flora and fauna that we encountered, giving each bend in the trail, a lesson of its own. The 4 waterfalls that you rappel down are all unique, challenging, exciting and gives you a great adrenaline rush! Spoiler alert: you will get wet! Bring a dry-bag for your phone and wallet so you won’t need a bag of rice afterward, like me.
Be ready for a great adventure, but keep in mind that when you finally reach the bottom, you have a steady climb back to the starting point but a flavorful breakfast or lunch awaits you at the top! This 62, 58 and 15 year old had an absolute blast!

They won't honour their own refund policy, and ignore customer messages. Stay away - booked a tour through this company, and paid extra for their Full Refund Policy, which states:
“By paying this insurance, you will be able to cancel the tour without giving any reason for doing so. Receiving 100% of the amount paid at the time of reservation. Please Note: This refund only applies if cancellation is requested one hour in advance before the tour start time. If cancellation is not informed to our booking department on time, the booking will be consider as "No Show," so it wont be refundable.”
I pulled a muscle during an earlier excursion, but had been improving, so I was optimistic I would be in good shape before the canyoning tour. I purchased their add-on refund policy just in case. Unfortunately, after the long drive from the coast to La Fortuna, I woke up the next morning in so much pain I was barely able to walk.
I reached out to them to cancel as soon as I woke up, which was several hours before the tour start time, and was told I can’t just cancel without justification (even though their policy states otherwise). I explained my situation and was told they would send it to management to process.
I received an email confirming the cancellation, but no refund, so I followed up again through WhatsApp to let them know. They stopped responding to any of my messages at this point.
So, just a heads up for anyone thinking of using this company. They don’t honour their own policies and then ignore their customers. See attached pictures of the policy, as well as the conversation, and read, but unanswered messages.

I booked a tour through this company to take my daughter canyoning, and paid extra for their Full Refund Policy, which states:
