Amazing night walk with frogs - This was a great, low-stress way to experience Costa Rica wildlife at night—especially for families. The Night Walk is less of a hike and more of a guided walk through a frog sanctuary, which actually works in its favor. It’s easy, accessible, and perfect for kids or anyone who doesn’t want a strenuous trek in the dark. Kevin, our guide, was a pro—knowledgeable, engaging, and clearly passionate about what he does. He made sure everyone could see and understand what we were looking at, which made a big difference. We saw snakes, frogs, spiders, and turtles, which kept things interesting the entire time. A few things that really stood out: • You meet in the lobby, and the setup is relaxed—coffee and hot chocolate while you wait • Each family gets a spotlight, which makes it interactive and helps you stay engaged • Kevin took incredible photos and airdropped them to us afterward—a small touch that goes a long way • At the end, you’re welcomed back with a refreshing coconut drink • The walk is about an hour, and if needed, you can easily head back early—no pressure This is one of those experiences that’s simple, well-run, and thoughtfully done. Tifakara night walk - Complimentary tour as a hotel guest. Kevin was a great guide!! We saw probably 8 different species of frogs and a toad during the tour. He was kind, knowledgeable, and patient with our smaller children. Definitely recommend!

Night walk at Tifakara - It was fun and exhilarating experience for our first day in Costa Rica. Kevin, our guide, is very knowledgeable and a great photographer. He is extremely into it. He found us so many cool frogs and spiders. We learn so many new things. If you could do only one activity here, this is it.

His tour is 100% recommended and he is certainly the guide if you want to see and know all the frogs and their stories.

Excellent night panorama! - Loved it! We did the tour with my partner and from start to finish everything was excellent! The hotel welcomed us with a very rich courtesy. Then we started the tour with Cyndy, very fun, playful and friendly, helped us with the photos, answered all our doubts, gave us clear instructions to make the most of the tour and did it in two languages, as the other participants spoke in English. At the end of the tour, we were given a photo and stickers, at no extra cost, I would definitely recommend it. The tour is carried out in the outbuildings of the hotel, you see varied species and very closely in our case, the hike is of low complexity, ideal for people of different ages. Excellent tour and hotel service, 10/10 everything I would mention that the place is wet (obviously for the species that inhabit it) and to me that gave me a little allergy, I mention it so that those who have that sensitivity like me keep it in mind hahaj Bring your best camera, the blue trouser frogs are VERY poseur!
