Great family float! Saw a ton of wildlife! - We did this with our two kids age 7 and 10 and it was an awesome experience. We saw a crocodile, a caiman, tons of birds, cows, many basilisk lizards, and even a few white-faced monkeys and howler monkeys together swinging in trees right above us. We were able to observe the monkeys for about 10 minutes. Our guide took his time to ensure we had a great experience. It was a perfect mix of relaxing and exciting, and the kids loved spotting wildlife throughout the trip. The little snack/meal at the end was a really nice touch as well. Great for families and a fun way to see Costa Rica’s nature up close!

Pleasant and easy going excursion for all ages! - It was a very relaxing float trip. The guides were very accommodating and pleasant. They worked hard to find as much wildlife as possible. We saw several iguanas many different types of birds turtles, and actually saw a couple of crocodiles. It’s a good way to spend a few hours from kids to elders considering my wife and I are both 75. I would highly recommend this to anybody looking to spend an easy relaxing morning or afternoon excursion. After the float trip, they offered everyone free snacks and drinks and they actually did a short demonstration on how coffee was made.

Easy river ride - Martin was a great river guide! We saw 2 crocodiles, many iguanas and birds, a few monkeys and one sloth. The ride was about 1.5 hours in total, takes about 20 minutes to drive to the launch line point. Only your feet get wet, easy to sit and take pictures as you try to spot animals.

Highly recommended! - Martin, our guide, was friendly, funny, and so knowledgeable about the area, its history, topography, and wildlife. He showed us howler monkeys, bats, iguanas, king fishers, toucans, an owl, and even a mamma porcupine in a tree with her baby. He made sure to get our raft close enough to see and photograph the wildlife. We came away with some incredible photos and an unforgettable experience.

Floating downriver with all the flora and fauna - We selected this trip because we wanted to go down an easier river without many rapids and see some wildlife. We were treated to amazing spectacles including a bird that was less than 10 feet away that practically did a song and dance for us, a Capuchin vs. Howler monkey battle that played out in the trees over our heads, a tyra (type of weasel) that followed us along the banks for about 5 minutes and many other animals and birds along the way. We came to understand that our experience was the exception to the rule - some groups are fortunate to see a couple monkeys and a sloth while we had multiple "shows" to watch around us during the 1 1/2 hour float. Afterward we enjoyed some snacks including banana bread, plantains and cheese with juice and coffee. Our guides David and Melvin were excellent providing all sorts of detail on the animals, history of the region and general positive vibes. It was an all-around perfect morning on the river!

Beauty, relaxation, lots of animals! - We had the best time. We saw capuchin monkeys, howler monkeys, tons of birds, and a caiman. David is an amazing guide. We had our small child with us and the guides were all so patient with him. The trip is very shaded, beautiful, and not stressful. I wish we'd brought a granola bar with us because it is 2 hours on the water, but it was not strenuous even for kids. It was definitely a highlight of our trip. If you don't want the guides to pick you up from your hotel, there is some parking on site, let the company know beforehand.

Relaxing descent - I really enjoyed the Safari float. The guide was great (5 stars for Warner). After we put on our life jackets, he gave us our instructions. Once on the river, he explained a lot about the ecosystem. We saw crocodiles/caimans, a sloth, monkeys, birds, cows, bats, iguanas. It was easy and calm. The break was ideal for a pineapple. The driver (on the way back) drove very fast. There were no seatbelts in the back and I didn't feel safe.
