We had a tour with... - We had a tour with David - we were alone (four) and he took a lot of time - we saw some sloths, also frogs, agutis, lizards and a porcupine. David has been able to tell and show us a lot. At the end of the tour we shaped and fried our own snack (tortillas) - was delicious. Also an experience was the pressing of sugar cane- the juice we could enjoy directly and pure- delicious!

We had an incredible... - We had an incredible sloth tour experience! Our guide, David, was absolutely amazing—he helped us spot five different sloths, toucans and other animals. What really stood out was his deep knowledge of the ecosystem; he explained everything in a way that was engaging for the kids. We appreciate how patient and interactive he was with them—he truly made the experience fun and memorable for the whole family. The fresh tortilla and sugar cane tasting at the end was such a unique and delicious bonus.

Sloth Tour Success! - David was amazing!! We learned so much, and saw quite a few sloths out in their natural habitat. This is a beautiful place, they let the animals live fully in peace in the wild. We tried sugarcane and passion fruit juice, and our tortillas were SO YUMMY. This was the only tour we paid for in La fortuna, and well worth it in my opinion!

Wonderful experience - Me and my friends had a wonderful experience with our guide Mar. She was so knowledgeable about the wildlife around us and was a joy to interact with. We got some great photos of sloths, different species of frogs, agouti, different species of birds, and more. We also loved the end of the tour where we got to make tortillas and drink sugar cane juice!

Amazing tour - The tour was out of expectation! Sergio was our guide and he was knowledgeable about wildlife. We not only saw several sloths but also learned about sloths anatomy and lifestyle in a very entertaining way. There were also some beautiful birds on the trail, and we actually spotted a tucan at the end of the tour. The tortilla class was fun as well. The weather was crazy that day, but we got absolutely no problem in the woods. I would recommend this tour to people at all ages.

Sloths! Sloths! - We made an error and realized too late that we didn't book the Mistico Hanging Bridge tour before we got to Costa Rica. It was full, so we looked for another tour and this one was available. It was a nice, slow paced tour and we saw 5 sloths - one up close. We got great pics and videos of it both frozen still and then moving. We saw a few other cool things like cacao trees, interesting birds, a large rodent type animal, large lizard that looked like an iguana, etc. There were 9 in our group. Our guide was amazing and knowledgeable. She was friendly and relaxed. She took many pictures for us with our phones and her equipment and they turned out so well. You wouldn't get pictures like this just from your phone alone because some things were too far away (like some of the sloths). A guy went ahead of us and looked for things for us to see and then told her so we could check it out. He would take some of the brush away so we could get a better look. The cane sugar squeezing machine gave us lots of cane sugar to drink and we rolled out a tortilla to cook. Once it was cooked, we got a chunk of cheese on it and they gave us another cooked tortilla with something on it. It wasn't much of a "cooking class" - just rolled out the dough. There was one type of juice and water to drink. Once the tour was over, you were allowed to go back in and walk around if you wanted. There are bathrooms there to use before you start the tour and after if needed. There is a very small gift shop where you register but not your typical gifts. Thank you to our pregnant guide (sorry, can't remember her name)!
