Where you’ll be
Experience begins in La Fortuna, then we drive for 30 minutes until we get to our starting point in La Perla town. Once arrived, you’ll be able to use the restroom and get a short safety speech while getting prepared for this exciting experience on the Peñas Blancas river where you get to float down its quiet waters while see sighting animals.

Calypso Promete - I had an excellent experience with Calypso Adventures. The tour was quiet and very pleasant, ideal for enjoying nature. We were lucky enough to see several wild animals in their habitat, which was really special.
The guides were very professional, Betshiva is very attentive and knowledgeable about the environment, as is the entire team. You can tell they know what they're doing and they're well organized.
I recommend carrying sunscreen, as much of the tour is in the pure sun.
Undoubtedly, an experience that I would recommend to any lover of nature and tranquility. Pura Vida 🤘

Awesome safari on the river - Amazing experience by Calypso Tours- owned and operated by a woman, Bethshive, who went above and beyond to make our experience special and memorable. you were able to see a lot of animals on the river, including a sloth!! We had a great time and highly recommend other families to take this tour!

Very memorable - This jungle safari was so prefect adventure for our family. It was beautiful and enjoyable to take in some of Costa Rica and see some wildlife. We were lucky to see monkeys, sloths, coatis, herons, snakes birds, iguanas and more. The trees and fauna were spectacular. Our guide Bethshiva from Calypso really made this tour stand out, sharing her knowledge of Costa Rican wildlife, enivronment and culture. I would highly recommend Calypso!

Floating Wildlife Adventure! - Beth and Mario picked us up at our resort and described the CR culture as we drive to the river. They were very patient with our questions, thorough with instructions to begin our float tour. On the river we saw lots of monkeys, a variety of beautiful birds, giant wasp and termite nests, iguanas, an alligator, sloth, sea otters, and a rare animal that looks like part dog/part cat. We had delicious fresh fruit at the end and a cold cerveza. It was a very memorable float trip!

Incredible Private Tour With Bethshiva - Wow! This was one of the best tours we’ve ever had in Costa Rica! My fiancè and I got a private tour with Bethshiva and it was amazing! Beth is so knowledgeable, friendly, funny and charismatic. We felt super safe in her company and with her instructions. She provided us with beer, fruit & juice at the end! We saw lots of beautiful birds, a sloth, howler monkeys, a caiman & gorgeous trees/flowers. It was very relaxing and so fun!! 10/10 recommend.

Beautiful views and an amazing host! - This Wildlife experience was amazing and a great way to start our trip. Our host Bethshiva has such a great personality which made the experience that much more enjoyable. Beautiful views and wildlife, and end with fresh fruit and drink. Highly recommend!

Fun, exciting, safe. Experienced guide. - This was a great trip! We saw turtles, a crocodile, monkeys, King Fishers, anhingas and more. Beth runs a safe but exiting tour, and best of all, fun.

BOOK THIS TOUR!!! You won’t regret it! - I knew I would book this tour from the moment I found it online. I have a travel company through which I bring small groups of women to various parts of the world. I like to support women entrepreneurs who care about sustainable travel. After reading Beth’s bio and the reviews, I knew this would be the perfect tour us…AND IT WAS!!!! Rafting down a beautiful, peaceful river, hearing just the sounds of nature, was delightful. Beth was an extraordinary guide, keeping us safe and well informed every step of the way. Her personality is welcoming and caring. She speaks English very well. We saw birds, turtles, iguanas, a small crocodile, and several monkeys swinging from the trees. We loved every minute of it and were so sad when it ended. We spent the next day with Beth too, doing the chocolate and coffee tour, as well as the hanging bridges. Both days were truly memorable! Thank you Beth!!!

Wildlife cruise and experience by raft - Highly recommend Beth! Really informative and passionate about her work.
