DNTN Nhà hàng Sông Nước Miền Tây - In the lush Mekong Delta, traditional Vietnamese cuisine is uniquely influenced by the fertile land and abundant waterways. Iconic dishes like spring rolls, banh xeo (pancake), and deep-fried elephant ear fish are celebrated for their freshness and authenticity. Spring rolls, or goi cuon, are filled with freshly caught shrimp, fragrant herbs like basil and mint, and crisp vegetables from the delta’s fertile soil. Banh xeo, the sizzling pancake, reflects the Delta’s rice fields with its golden hue and may include local ingredients such as river prawns, pork, and bean sprouts. The deep-fried elephant ear fish, or ca tai tuong chien xu, honors the Delta’s waterways, transforming this prized fish into a crispy delicacy that showcases the region’s culinary expertise.

Vinh Trang Temple - The pagoda’s stunning structures feature two triumphal arches adorned with bottle and porcelain fragments, creating harmonious images depicting Buddha’s legends. Inside, there is a set of pictures “eight angels riding on animals,” a set of bronze statues of the Amitabha Holy Trinity, and notably, the unique set of eighteen Arhants wood carvings, crafted by several artists in 1907, found only in the west of South Vietnam. Graves of Buddhist priests who cared for the pagoda are scattered around, decorated with intricately engraved flagstones.
The pagoda has three entrances. The central iron gate remains closed, while the two side gates, designed in the co lau style, are open. These side gates are embellished with colorful porcelain mosaics depicting Buddhist folktales and natural scenery.
