Entertaining guided tour and delicious fruits - highly recommended! - The tour was great! Manolo, our guide, is the owner of the farm and told us a lot of interesting and amusing things about the turbulent history of the farm and its path to fruit and coffee cultivation. Mostly in English, but (due to the many children participating, who did not understand English so well) also much in German. The tour passed mangoes, avocados, cherimoyas (cinnamon apples), macadamia nuts, coffee bushes, lychee, dragon fruit, star fruit, carob trees, kafir lime, bergamot... amazing what Manolo has gathered and made bloom! Finally, there was a small vending stall with homemade jam, coffee and lots of ripe mangoes - highly recommended!

Fantastic 🤩 - Generous, knowledgeable, kindhearted and humorous guide and owner of the farm. He was good at English which made it easy to keep up with what he was informing about. There is a wide range of exotic fruits and plants and he is developing it even more. Can warmly recommend this!

Avocado and papaya - The story, the work of a person who goes another way....very informative, impressive and ambitious. Attention: It’s actually just about coffee by the way, but it’s really worth it!!

unique coffee farm & fruit plantation must see - Entertaining and interesting guided tour, Manolo explained the development of the coffee farm very "figuratively", which was really fun.

A coffee farm that defies geography! - My main goal was to see the coffee plants, especially since I hadn’t managed to visit any plantations during my travels in Panama or Colombia. Although September isn’t the peak season for coffee spotting, you can still see some beans and a few blossoms, which already made the experience worthwhile. One of the highlights was hearing the farm owner Manolo’s story about establishing the farm, which originally began as a monoculture of chirimoyas, but today it displays an incredible variety of tropical fruits, some of which you’d never expect to grow in Europe! Equally fascinating was learning about the weather conditions that define La Herradura’s microclimate, making it a unique place for cultivating such exotic plants in Europe. The tour began at the first plot, located right next to the meeting point, and then continued by car to the second plot. If you're arriving by bus from La Herradura, it’s best to coordinate with Manolo in advance, as transportation is needed between the two locations. The coffee I purchased from the farm is not only rare, being grown and produced in Spain, but it is also flavorful. I highly recommend this tour to anyone exploring southern Andalusia and looking for a unique experience. The whole tour took around 90 minutes.
