Worth every penny - The tour is a short boat ride out to a dark waterway with bioluminescent salt water. Capt. Johnny was great and took us out and back. We had 15 minutes of swimming in the warm water which glowed as you agitated it. Considering it’s the only bioluminescent tour on the island where you can actually get in the water, it was worth every penny. We were staying in Dorado and paired the tour with a trip on part of the Ruta Panoramica (Orocovis to Utuado) to Cabo Rajo and Playa Combate.

one of our highlight experiences in puerto rico! - An unforgetable experience! Our 5 year old son joined us and loved it and the captain and other guests were very helpful making it a welcoming and positive experience for him. The stars and bioluminescence were both fantastic, aided possibly by the power outage on the island.

Bucket list experience - Dont worry about the moon exposure as the organisms are bright enough to see regardless of the light exposure. We had an amazing time.

An extraordinary experience - An extraordinary experience. Best with glasses and snorkel. Underwater, there are endless sparkling organisms buzzing around you. The crew was great: friendly, helpful, entertaining and answered every question.

Great experience - The experience was one of a kind the only reason I do not give 5 stars is because I wished there was more information provided by the tour guide, he only gave us security instructions.

risky expirence - i went with my family in april. we had to wait a while to get on the boat but we were in a separate small boat with some others who made the experience for me! boat ride was quick and easy, with a good view of the blimp. the water looks unappealing at first but when you get in its amazing. the light is super vibrant and its fun to create it yourself. besides the wait, the reason i am giving it 3/5 is because most people there who went in the water got stung by jellyfish. the tour guide provided vinegar once we got back but we had to sit with the jellyfish sting. the tour guide did warn us, but it doesn’t change the fact it took about a minute for us to get stung but its the oceans fault, not the tour. overall, a super unique experience if your in puerto rico but if you go, be prepared to take the risk of getting a jellyfish sting.

Gave us two different meeting points, resulting in us missing the tour - Our booking said to meet near a restaurant at 8.15pm, so we got there at 8.10pm and no one was there. We wandered round trying to find anyone, and then sat down and waited to see if they were just running late. I started to panic I had got the wrong date or meeting spot, so I went through all the different confirmations, and on one of them it had a different meeting spot location about 1km away. We ran to the car and drove there, assuming that we must be in the wrong place, but the spot it took us to (when we literally had clicked on the google maps link provided in that email) was a totally abandoned area. I tried to call the numbers provided but couldn't get a hold of anyone. At this point we had no idea what was going on and had been to both meeting points and not found anyone, so we headed back to our accomodation. Then at 8.50pm we get a call from someone asking where we are - to which we explained we'd been there, at both loctions (I took time stamped photos to prove it), and no one was there. At this point the person on the phone started to shout at us, yelled that we were 'full of it' and eventually hung up. I opened a case with paypal for a refund as we did everything we could think of to find it, and were clearly given some conflicting information, but after contacting me asking the issue 6 days ago I havent heard anything from them.

Total dissapointment - The tour was to begin at 7:25. The Captain began to get his boat ready at 7:15 and we did not start tour until almost 10 to 8pm. Once we got out into the bay area. We were told to stay close to boat so we could try to see the glow better, However, there was no bioluminescence to be seen. I've done other tours in the San Juan area which were amazing. So I didn't really appreciate paying to swim for 15 minutes in the dark. Not worth the $$$

complete waste of our time and money - Waste of time and money! as the boat captain said when we were leaving, Don't come on a night with a moon showing at all or you won't see anything, I wish that information was included in the advert
