Fly down the ‘world’s most dangerous road’ on this thrilling mountain-biking adventure! Leave from a high-altitude plain near La Paz, and follow expert guides downhill for 40 miles (64 km) on a narrow, winding road carved into the side of the incredible Andes. Take breaks along the way to admire the landscape that changes from the snowcapped Andes to the lush Amazonian jungle. This is one of the most incredible experiences in South America, and one you’ll want to do with the most reccomended company in Bolivia, which uses international safety standards and ensures incredible service. After the riding adventure, unwind at La Senda Verde Ecotourism Resort, an animal refuge, where you’ll enjoy lunch and observe rescued wildlife. Return to La Paz the same day, or stay overnight at La Senda Verde or in Coroico. This is one you’ll be telling the grandkids, so do it right!
- Approximate riding time is 4-5 hours
- 90% of the ride is downhill

Knowledgeable & Safe Death Road Experience - We had a fantastic tour with Marcello. Safety was paramount and we got to test the bikes (dual suspension with a full face helmet) on the flat. We first went down ~20km of sealed road with traffic and this was fast. We then started down the official death road which was unsealed and had beautiful views. He took photos and there was always a car behind us. The team was very professional and we learnt a lot about the history of Death Road. It's a pretty crazy place. They had frequent stops to regroup the tour and give everyone's hands a break. There was an option to do zip lining for 80 bolivianos.
We knew a few people who had hurt themselves on this road and were happy to stay on the bike.

Adrenaline rush - We booked a tour with Gravity without any prior experience in mountain biking.
The gravity double suspension bikes are of very high quality and will make your ride down the death road much more enjoyable.
Kenny and the whole team are very professional and will make sure you get down the road safely while still having a lot of fun.
We highly recommend doing your death road experience with Gravity!

Biking down Deathroad - Loved the experience - Damian and Ruben where amazing!! We really felt safe in their hands and we could at all times ask them for help. Crazy views, such a cool experience - strongly recommend!!

Gravity Sucks - But These Guys Rock !!! - Look- there are other companies offering this trip, but traveling with kids we wanted the safest, the best and the original!!
It’s what we got.
After 3 weeks traveling Peru, when asked what the best thing they did, say “Death Road” …. I remind them it’s in Bolivia, but apparently still the best thing.
Great guides- a shout to Noel, but the whole team were amazing. Also the back of house peeps who dealt with my emails.

Want to ride Death Road - then go with Gravity Bolivia. - I'd heard so much about the Death Road ride but the trip way exceeded my expectations. The guiding was superb. Noel and Ruben were extremely safety conscious and explained everything to us so that although we were quite a diverse group, and all a bit nervous, they put us at ease. They were really positive, upbeat and informative. We stopped fairly often to start with so that we could get into the groove - and they kept encouraging us and talking us through what challenges led in the next section. The downhill bikes were brilliant. The track was really rocky and wet at times but I always felt in control. I have done a bit of mountain biking, but riding along this historic route, with its insane drop offs and constantly changing scenery was mind-blowing. We were all pretty knackered at the end, but also on a complete high. Gravity Bolivia is a really, really professional outfit. No stone was left unturned when it came to safety and customer enjoyment. Truly brilliant day out and a great way to see and learn about the environs of La Paz in a short time. Even if you've not done much mountain biking I'd thoroughly recommend this trip.

Great Experience Death Road - The whole experience was amazing from start to finish. Our guides Noel and Claudio were brilliant. Instructions were clear, they were very informative and great fun at the same time. And their photography skills are second to none.

Best day ever!!! Incredibly Safe and Professional – Highly Recommend - I had an incredible experience with Gravity on the Death Road Mountain Biking Tour. The company is exceptionally well-organised—from the advance email detailing what to expect and what to bring, to the thorough safety briefings on the day, and the high-quality bikes and protective gear. I felt completely safe the entire time, thanks also to the professionalism of my guide, Chelo, and our support driver.
Chelo regularly checked my equipment throughout the ride, explained how to approach each section, and shared interesting history and local insights that added real depth to the experience. He’s clearly very experienced and knowledgeable, with the charisma to make the entire day fun and engaging.
Gravity also takes plenty of photos and videos throughout the ride, so you can relive the experience (and share it!) without having to keep taking out your phone.
After the ride, we enjoyed a great lunch, hot showers, and a well-earned beer, plus a visit to an animal shelter—a great way to end the day and reflect on the ride over lunch.
I highly recommend this tour, especially with Chelo as your guide!
