Huayna Potosí with guide Umberto - We made Huayna Potosí in three days. The first day we were followed by Valerio guide, while the second and third Umberto guide. With both of us we felt very good, they were professional and punctual. Umberto in the climb did not stop asking us how we were doing and continually motivated us to reach the top. It was a very positive experience. Meals were many and plentiful and the staff always smiling and helpful. I would improve the quality of the boots that caused pain in my shins during the climb. Everything else was good and, following the guide's recommendations, we did not suffer the cold.

Unforgettable adventure with South Trecks - I really want to recommend South Trecks if you want to climb Huyana Potosí. We did the 3-day tour. It was a tough challenge but the guides supported us in an incredibly good way and we managed to get to the top. In retrospect, one of the coolest things we have ever done and we are happy that we dared to take on this challenge. Special thanks to our guide Felix who had a 24-year experience climbing the mountain. He was incredibly helpful and nice to us. We can also recommend South Trecks if you want to ride down Death Road in La Paz. We are very pleased with the setup for that activity as well. Thank you South Trecks! /Hanna & Ida

Best tour agency in La Paz , for all your activities! - Great company, best service, kind and very nice. best prices for activities, huyana potosi, death road biking, condoriri. I checked many companies and they won in price, service and things included each time. Also, I could ask for costumasitions for the activity and build the experience with them.

Great experience - would recommend - We had a great trip up Huayna Potosi, would highly recommend this company. Our guide Valerio was friendly, experienced, patient, and always willing to help us out. This company’s high camp is also the highest which does make a difference on the day of summitting.

Amazing experience! - We took the 2day trekking to Huayna Potosi with South Treks. It was absolutely amazing :) the staff was very professional in helping us decide the day to go, they gave us good advice when we had to postpone our trek due to the weather. The gear was oke and worked well. When we started the hike our guide Felix made sure we felt safe and comfortable. Thanks to Felix I made it to the top! Near the end there was so much snow the path was covered and Flexi had to open the path. I was very scared but he made sure I felt safe and had the strength to get to the summit! Thank you again Felix and the staff of South Treks!

Mountaineering Huayna Potosi - Mountaineering Huayna Potosí – Challenging and Rewarding Experience Climbing Huayna Potosí was one of the most intense and unforgettable experiences of my travels in Bolivia. It’s a serious challenge, both physically and mentally, so I highly recommend taking at least three days for acclimatization. The first day, which includes ice practice and getting familiar with all the gear, was not only helpful but also really fun. Our guide, Limber, was excellent—kind, patient, and really listened to us throughout the hike. He did push us a bit during the final stretch to the summit, which was extremely tough, but honestly, if it wasn’t for that push, we might not have made it. That said, I hope he stays mindful in the future of each person’s limit—it’s a fine line between motivating and overdoing it. Before we set off, the agency in La Paz gave a very detailed explanation of the route, which helped ease a lot of nerves. The staff spoke good English and answered all our questions clearly. The only downside was the condition of some of the equipment—it was functional but a bit worn, and it took some effort to find gear that fit well. Overall, it’s a demanding but incredible adventure. I’d recommend it to anyone who is well-acclimated, in decent shape, and looking for a real mountaineering experience in South America.
