Enjoy the scenic drive through the Andean altiplano landscape. Arrive at “Condoramaya” to view the first Mummy’s Tombs, showcasing remarkable architecture. Next, visit the renowned “Sistine Chapel of the Andes” in Curahuara de Carangas to admire its renaissance structure. Proceed to Sajama National Park. Later, take a brief walk through the geysers and unwind in the 35°C hot springs, offering a stunning view of the snow-capped mountain. Conclude the first day with a delightful dinner at the hotel and rest.
Sajama / Huayña Khota Lagoon / Sabaya / Jirira
Sajama National Park - The adventure begins early in the morning, post-breakfast, heading to Huayña Khota Lagoon, home to flamingos and vicuñas, and Sequegua in 4x4 vehicles, enjoying the mountain-surrounded route with kewiña forests, llamas, and alpacas. Make a brief stop at Tambo Quemado, a military post, to pay entrance fees. Then, ascend to Macaya Lagoon to spot flamingos and herons. Later, walk to the Mummy’s Tombs, a unique and well-preserved polychromatic archaeological burial site. Enjoy a delicious lunch in the village of Sabaya. After midday, reach the “Salar de Coipasa,” a small salt desert en route to the Uyuni Salt Flats. Later, savor dinner at the hotel in the Village of Jirira and recharge for the next day.
Jirira / Uyuni Salt Flats / Incahuasi Island
Salar de Uyuni - Post-breakfast, start the tour early in the morning. Arrive at the vast Uyuni Salt Flats, situated at an altitude of 3665 meters, covering an area of 12,000 km² in 4x4 WD vehicles. During the journey, visit salt blocks, salt piles, and salt eyes, and reach Incahuasi Island to enjoy the stunning view and giant cacti. After lunch, in the afternoon, capture photos in the middle of the Uyuni Salt Flats. Experiment with fun poses to create famous photos with varying sizes and angle perspectives. Finally, take time to watch the sunset with a glass of wine and seize the opportunity to take pictures. Conclude the day with tea and dinner at the hotel.
Chiguana / Ollague / Andean Lagoons / Red Lagoon
Eduardo Avaroa National Reserve of Andean Fauna - After breakfast, head to Red Lagoon, visiting the Lagoons: Cañapa, Hedionda, and Chiarcota to observe flamingos along the way. After lunch, explore The Siloli desert and the iconic Stone Tree. Arrive at the Red Lagoon by afternoon, home to numerous flamingos, including three varieties: Chilean, James, and Andean. Finally, enjoy dinner at the hotel and rest for the following day.
Sol de Mañana Geysers / Hot Springs / Green Lagoon / White Lagoon / Uyuni
Eduardo Avaroa National Reserve of Andean Fauna - Very early in the morning, after breakfast, head to “Sol de Mañana” and enjoy the breathtaking view along the way; this area features volcanic activity such as fumaroles and geysers (bubbling mud holes, smoking, and a sulfur smell). Also, visit the hot springs of Polques for a relaxing bath while enjoying the most beautiful sunrise. Then, explore the Salvador Dali Desert, offering spectacular landscapes and multicolored rock formations of the volcanoes. Later, ascend to the viewpoint of the Green Lagoon, White Lagoon, and Lincancabur Volcano. Finally, return to Uyuni after lunch. Along the way, appreciate bofedales and more rocky formations. Arrive at Uyuni City around 6:30 p.m.
